14.5" pin and weld barrel from Numrich A2 Upper from JSE Surplus lower receiver build kit from PSA CAR stock from Tony's Custom LLC 80% anodized lower from Tactical machining.

Swapped out the barrel on my M16A2 build. It originally had an FNMI marked barrel with an F marked FSB. That barrel was pulled and used for my M16A4 build. It has been replaced with an FNMI cage code marked (3S679) barrel with a standard (non F marked) FSB. The barrel was new with the wick still in it and in a factory bag. The label showed it as an M16A2 replacement barrel.

Just picked up this rifle, and even thou it's "only" a 6520 it's been a dream of mine to own. You see I used to live in California and in 1989 when I was only 15 years old this rifle was banned by name so even thou I could, and I did, own a "copy" I could never own a real Colt AR-15 A2 as long as I lived in that State. I even have a picture of myself as a kid with a Colt advertisement for this rifle hanging on my wall.
I've since escaped California and have been on the lookout for one of these. Most I found were in the $1000.00+ range which I wasn't willing to spring for. Last week ran across this Colt LE6520 as an agency trade in someone posted in GD. They were $699.00 at Buds and I jumped on it. I finally have my Colt AR-15A2 Gov't Carbine and the 15 year old in me is going crazy.

I've been wanting an M16A2 clone for awhile, but I never found one for sale. I could have taken the time to build one, but in the end I just got lazy and bought a Windham 20" A3 rifle and swapped the upper receiver for one from DPMS.

Build for a friend. Started as a $60? 65? Sabre Defense (Cav Arms Mk 2) lower from Trinity Ordnance. Then I managed to break a LRBHO pin boss ear off by trying to hit the roll pin in w/ a hammer, so I dropped it off @ GWACS for their $35 replacement warranty. Since I bought a LPK from them, they graciously installed it for me, so I still don't know how to correctly install a LRBHO roll pin.
Had an old Bushmaster/Olympic? A2 upper I picked up used at Ray's Hardware, and installed a heavy dissy bbl w/ carbine gas I got off the EE. It's worn various handguards, and has a lo pro gas block from Model 1 Sales. When I went to install a LeVang linear comp, sample discovered both this bbl and the 9x19mm bbl I bought off the EE were threaded off kilter. Shipped back the LeVang, and threw on the KAK flash can. The MagPul's I picked up @ Academy on close out, and snagged a mag for my buddy as well.  Attached File |

Decided to cannibalize my Colt AR15A4 with non F-marked front sight barrel for other builds. The last vestiges of the Clinton era have been removed, and my A2 clone is now complete.
