I bought an XLP last summer and it woud not fully cycle the next round. I sent it in to AA over Christmas and they drilled the has port on the barrel a little bigger and changed the gas block. So ehen I got it back and looked at it the gas block had no selector switch for adjustment. I looked at yhe website and didn't see this block for sale so I called AA. They said it was a new product that would work with pretty much any round with no need for adjustment(with the exception of possibly some subsonic unsuppressed). Well I finally went shooting yesterday and it ran flawlessly. About 200 rounds and no problems cycling what so ever.

Cool, you got an upgrade for free.

300 blackout is a bit tricky to get to run for a GP setup.

Interesting, can you post a pic of the new gas block?  I'm frustrated with my AA XLP built upper.  It's not reliable with the 300 subs (with can attached).
The XLP 5 position gas black is somewhat of a joke as well since you really can't switch the gas settings without scratching the switch and or barrel/rail.
I sent my whole SBR in to AA last year for them to test.  Course it ran like a champ in their shop.
Short of drilling out the gas block on the 300 bo barrel I may just convert it to a 556.  My buddy has one of them which runs smooth.

Interested in seeing this new gas block as well.  I have the old railed block with three positions, curious to see what they've done.

I'll take a pic when I get home, it's basically an XLP with no switch. I couldn't reach the switch under my handguard anyways.

Is there any other way to post pics other than photobucket? I can rarely get it to work. Here's the best I could do.

Sorry, I don't see that anywhere. Maybe if you screenshot it and show me.
