Hey guys,
I've got an Adams Arms AA15 rifle that I love, and recently my S/O purchased one that, for some reason, will absolutely not tolerate Wolf Gold.
Stuck cases out the wazoo. so stuck they either need mortared out battery, or knocked out with a 3/16" steel rod from the muzzle.
It went back to the factory once for this, and it was determined that the "barrel was out of spec." so they replaced it. Great.
It came back, and still will not eject/extract Wolf Gold. The first time (and last) at the range after getting it back, the 3rd round of Wolf Gold was so stuck that the extractor ripped the rim of the case off. That was the end of that range trip since we didn't have anything with us to knock it out with.
After getting home, hand cycling the rifle with several different lots/batches of Wolf Gold produced numerous stuck cases. Tested the same ammunition with my AA rifle, and had no issues with feeding, chambering, extracting or ejecting.
In the rifles defense, it did digest 20 rounds of Independence 5.56 and about 10 rounds of PPU prior to the attempt with Wolf Gold.
But since we're sitting on a stack of Wolf Gold, it would be nice if her rifle ate it too. Again, my AA rifle has been great, and I haven't read of any issues with Wolf Gold - unless I've missed something. I even emailed Sam Gabbert at SGAmmo asking if he had ever heard of people getting stuck cases with Wolf Gold, and he told me that after selling 9k cases, he's never had complaints.
She's been in contact with AA customer service, and I'm sure they'll make it right, but has anyone else experienced any issues with Wolf Gold in their AA rifle?
