if your ejection pattern is 1 or 2 o'clock, get yourself a vltor A5 buffer tube set and run an H4 wieght buffer. it brought mine to 3 o'clock and made if feel like a DI 20" GI barrel in terms of impluse.

before that i was getting way too much impluse. love the rifle, they just need to cut down on the port size. mine is an IC SPR 14.7".

that is all. carry on.

Do you mean 1 or 2 o'clock? IIRC, ejecting forward is a sign of over gassing not ejecting back. My ICs always ejected at 4-5o'clock and had a pleasant recoil impulse.

ya sorry. had that backwards. thanks.

do you have the 16" barrels and/or adjustable gas regulator? mine was not pleasant to shoot with lighter buffers.

I had one of the first 500, a 14.7 IC-E. I also had a 14.7 IC SPR. They were both very nice.

I agree!
I was worried that I was wasting my time (and money) with getting the BCM Intermediate Receiver Extension (A5 Buffer Tube) and the H4 ( 6.5 ounces ) from Heavy Buffers, but I'm very happy I did!

Anyone try one of these JP buffers? ---> https://www.jprifles.com/buy.php?item=JPSCS2-15H2

If so, how do they compare to the A5 system

Hory Cow that thing is expensive......and it wont fit an A5 buffer tube, just carbine or rifle length. for that kind of money, i think nor buffers should work fine.

I run the first gen JP silent captured recoil system on a suppressed 300BLK rifle.  I got it because it is so smooth and quiet.  I think this was before the A5 came out.  I have not compared the two, but I can tell you this:  the JP system is very quiet and smooth.  Combined with a NiB carrier, my 300BLK is very very smooth and quiet.
