Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Roll pin for Osprey retaining clip

Has anyone used a roll pin to replace the retaining clip on a Osprey piston system?   With the limited handguard selection and the biggest issue is the retaining clip that wraps up over top of the piston, has anyone tried this?

I just trimmed down the pin with my dremmel. It clears my hand guard no problems.

I originally did this, but the clip actually came off.   I figured pinning it would solve the problem.
