Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Magpul SL Handguard + Piston upper = need to vent?

I plan on getting a Magpul SL Handguard, I have a new, haven't fired yet Adams middy.  I noticed the Magpul doesn't have vents on the top most part of the handguard.  Should I drill a couple holes to allow venting thru the top?

No. Slap it on and go shoot. It's perfectly fine the way it is. I have this handguard on an AA As well, love it!

I got a MOE middy on my AA middy. No problems here.  Magpul had designed the handguards to be GP compatible.
