Nice!

By "small frame" does that mean it is built on the same sized receivers as the new DPMS GII line?  And, along the same lines, will a number of AR15 rails and forends work?

Late summer ? The 3-gun season is long down here in Texas and end of summer would give me half the year to play in Heavy division!

I notice the gun in the photo has a Lancer in place.  What does the rifle come with from the factory and are there any bolt hold open issues with Magpuls?

Now about that AR-10 piston conversion...  The longer you wait to engineer it the more money I save not building a MaTen until I can (short) stroke it.  "Stuck" with my FAL for now I guess.

And for those of you thinking "why not just buy one of these?"  I don't have an AR I didn't build the way I wanted, why start now?

My Dad has one of the "Pre-Order" models.... Magpul is a tight fit and definitely NOT drop free.

My Magpul mags work just fine:

Power of the 308!

Hi AA,

Nice rifle! I'll be picking up an AA .308, just not sure which one. Can you confirm the correct weight of the new patrol battle rifle? Your website says 8.15 lbs but a review on guns.com says it's "...a hair over 9 lbs..."

Also, can you confirm if an 18" version will be available before 10/1/15? I intend to put meat in my freezer with an AA .308 this fall and I'm willing to wait for an 18" bbl...

I already have a rifle finished I want to convert to piston. I'll just have to be patient.
