Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help with rail for CMMG please

my friend has a CMMG piston gun with 14.5 inch bbl. He wants to get the carbine length MOE hand guard off and replace with a longer rail. The rifle has a railed gas block/gas regulator for the piston. Is there a rail out there like the BCM KMR or other light weight rail that will fit it or should I just call CMMG?

I put a Samson Star-CX on my Ar with the old CMMG piston.

The newer ones have an open bottom, but mine is the older version.  It required a bit of machining to make it fit with the giant CMMG piston/gas block.
