Do you mean it pops open when just sitting still?
It's supposed to pop open when the BCG moves. |

the quick fix is to polish back the detent housing on the back on the door. the correct fix is to contact Adams, and send the upper for the to replace.

to clarify - it opens with the lightest bump anywhere on the rifle . tried some polishing on the back of the door on the spring loaded detent , it helps but still pops open .

Mine does the same. It doesn't take much to get it to flip open. A little jossle or bump and it pops open.

Either the upper or the ejection port cover needs replaced.

i had a feeling something was outta spec . its not the end of the world , just bugs me . ill call AA see what they say . thanks for the answers .

AA had a run of "out of spec" receivers quite a while back, with that symptom. Contact them, they'll swap out the upper reciever. They are aware of the issue.

ATTN . . . got my upper back from AA today . it was timely and very easy . AA paid for the shipping both ways . they must have switched out my upper rec cause its new and shiny , lol . and a manuel and 2 window decals . i must say two things . 1 . i didnt even ask AA to do this , but they stepped in and made it right . 2 . cody at AA made this happen . thank you Adams Arms and thank you Cody . your c.s. is outstanding and really is top notch .

AA takes care of their customers. What they did does not surprise me at all.
