THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT Ok, here is what I'm thinking so far- 16" REPR w/ ACOG TA55A 5.5x50 on LaRue LT-100 and a LaRue Harris bipod combo, and call it done. This will be my precision rifle for 300-800m. Is this setup realistic for what I wanna get outta the REPR ? |

Sounds like a good set up. It will keep the weight down on a already light rifle. A nice bonus for mobility.

Will post pics. Hoping to have it by the end of this week.
I'm gonna go with a TA11E ACOG, as the BDC would be WAAAYYY off on a 16" REPR. 3.5x is plenty for a 16" 7.62 rifle. |

Well..............I just bought it!
Proud owner of a new 16" OD Green REPR, baby! Can't wait to get it!!!!!!!!!!!! Ordering a Trijicon ACOG TA11E, and a LaRue LT-100 QD Mount for it right now. I'm D-O-N-E with my fun money for the year. :yup: Lots of fun to be had before I got to Korea for a year, yup!
The wife unit reacted very unexpectedly, especially when I had to call my bank to up my debit card's spending limit for a day. She didn't threaten to beat me to death with it......
My wife accepts my addiction, but she saw the REPR on the computer screen, and the first words out of her mouth were- "Can I lick it??" God, I love my wife. ![]() |

I don't think your LWRC's will be safe while you're away in Korea for a year. You should send them to me for safe keeping

what was the OTD price of the rifle alone?

$3519.00
Based on fit and finish alone, it was worth it. |

For me a 3.5 magnification optic on that rifle would be limiting my capabilitites with it. I would prefer somehting along the lines of a 2.5-10 but that would add some weight.

It's beautiful, man.
If you haven't yet, look at the BFG padded vickers sling. I used to be all about the padded VTac, but the BFG Vickers is simpler, with all the same good adjustability features. I can mail you one of each to T&E before you choose, if you want. |
