Do not like. For the minimal weight savings, it obviously has less 7075 aluminum (has to, to make room for the "overmolding"). Pass. IMHO, not worth the minimal savings either.
I applaud the innovative thinking, but please do not stop making the original Raptor. It was "right" the first time. The original is a beautiful, strong design. The new one... cheap plastic over less 7075. No. |

33% Reduction in cost to the customer while retaining the original's strength is the main gain from the Raptor LT. The handles are simply overmolded with a very very durable fiber reinforced polymer, cutting down on machining small intricate details.
However, the original Raptor, which is still very competitive, will remain in production! |

Agreed with the cost savings to the consumer. That is a good value as almost a 100 bones for a charging handle is a lot.
I would scale back the talk about weight savings, anyone after that isn't going to be interested in this IMO. |

I got my LT for $38.50 with free shipping ($41.39 with 7% coupon from vendor with free shipping).

Where are you paying $100 for the original? They go for under $75 all day long (and under $65 often on sale). View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

My guess is Raptor built this simply to compete with the lower end market.

It was Optics Planet, but maybe I just lucked out. It was $41.39 when I bought it, but I noticed it went up to $49.xx after I made my last post, and now it's $56.xx. Strange as it wasn't listed as on sale or anything earlier. Regardless, the OP's point stands, it's an alternative to the more expensive all aluminum version. View Quote |

Looks like there has been a slightly delay with the FDE and Tungsten/Wolf Grey variants: Radian's working on getting the colors just right!

Hurry up with the FDE color already.
Makes a difference on my high speed missions on the weekends. |

Dude questioned my claim.
I provided proof/evidence of my claim. He asked a question-I answered. Your link is very helpful though so thanks |

Never noticed that the Raptor's are asymmetric.
Is one side longer because of the forward assist? |

Mine came in yesterday. Really like it. I'm going to start slowly replacing my other charging handles with these.

They were available the last 2 weeks and sold out quickly. Should have some more up later this week though.
