It doesn't neutralize it or turn it yellow, but it dulls it down a shade due to the multi-coating. This was done to get maximum reflectivity / intensity out of the new generation red LED. This coating allows for over 95% light transmission into the optic for low light while maximizing dot brightness, so that's why we went with it. When I sighted in the one I put on my M4gery, I was shooting in broad daylight with no cloud cover using setting 7 out of 10, so this thing gets BRIGHT if you crank it all the way up.

I had one of these, but washed out orange which basically made orange clays blend into the background almost to the point of being invisible. Just trying to make sure if I order a newer sight it won't have the same issue.

Thanks for reintroducing this style. The micros are ok - I think I have 8 of them - but I prefer the full size for some applications, and it looks much improved, especially battery life.

I just got the e-mail about this. I used to have a couple of the original Classic 30mm red-dots and was very impressed with them. This one, with the new improvements, should really surpass the original. Thanks for bringing it back. I have already shared my thanks to Marc Jardell in CS.

Very happy to see it back. I have an original PA 30mm red dot, it is several years old and it is still going strong. Its been mounted on various 5.56mm and 308 rifles, it is presently on a Saiga 223 in an RS Regulate mount. I will be buying an Advanced 30mm.

I feel like the opportunity to use a AA or AAA battery was missed here.

What can you tell us about tint? Is it clear, blue, gray, etc.?
