Maybe a little more explanation?

Looking at their site, the rails on the carrier are interrupted.  I'm assuming that's what the sand cuts are, so crud can get knocked free.  Zooming way in on the photo, I think the bolt might be fluted similarly, but can't be 100% since I can only see what looks like a little bit of a lip.

DSA is the first result for NTFE coating, so I have no idea what it is.  From the color I'm guessing a nickel teflon?

Sand cut?

Some KAC SR-25s have a sand cut BCG for better reliability in adverse environments. I'm not sure if it's found on the MK11 or M110 systems so I'll wait for a more knowledgable person to chime in.

It's what KAC does on SR25 and SR16's.

Looks quite logical to me...
FALs have sand cuts on the English L1A1 rifles.

This.

It's just their way of saying carbon cutter. I guess the patents ran out from KAC?

I remember they had the dimpled barrels locked down from some patent or copyright thing. But that went away after a little time after initial release.

Maybe same deal?

I dig the sand cut, but give me a nitride or melonited one and youve got a sale.

The pattern of sand cuts are the same as the cuts used in the 1950s l1a1 rifle sand cuts on bolt carriers including m16/ar10 rifles have prior art that goes all the way back to the 50s, sand cuts and ice grooves are not a new invention in firearms including the m16 hence why we did not file a patent for this.

Awesome.

However, i don't think I'd need this here in Southeast Texas. Not much sand

But, i don't really clean my rifles very often, so maybe this could help me go longer? Ha!

It's a FAL thing, guess they thought it would be an AR15 bling thing.

How does this stack up against NP3?

Can I order just the carrier? Not the entire BCG.

Id rather it come with a 158C bolt. Too many ways to screw up with 9310, always has me skeptical. I know when done right, it's great and certainly stronger. But, if rather have the tried and true bolt.

Maybe have an option for it?

It really is that simple.  If people don't understand, all they need to do is Google up the FAL and see how the cuts help through sand and grit.  There used to be some great videos that shows how well it worked, but it really is a common sense sorta thing.

Also from what I understand. Lubricant has a slow to pool now due to the space created between the carrier and the receiver allowing for retention of lubrication and longer lubrication .

NTFE Coating appears like it wasn't properly applied to the whole carrier, not the inside you really make a difference just an observation.
