Ultra Lightweight Gas Block Made from Titanium, and very affordable at $49.95!

Parallax Tactical has just released their newest version of their lightweight, cut out gas block, but this time in Titanium!

Weighs just 0.7 ounces, with set screws and gas tube roll pin included in weight!

Just like the standard Parallax Tactical gas blocks, the body is lightened to cut down on weight, and the gas block is drilled out at top to allow for users to see the gas port and precisely align the gas block.  The viewing port is threaded even, so one could use a pointed screw to ensure absolute alignment during installation.

These can be pinned... but require precision end mill work to do it.  Our smiths can do it because they have industrial grade equipment, but not sure that any gunsmith would be able to.

Asked Parallax and they are saying that theirs is at .295" and .705".  The gas block will line up perfectly with the dimple diretly opposite the gas port, but the second may be off some.  

Looks like it won't match up perfectly with Laure Steath barrels

Knowing Parallax, I'd say it's closer than you think

The expansion rate between steel and titanium looks to be pretty close.  Haven't had any reports of issues yet:  I'm thinking I'll do a build and do a few mag dumps.  With a suppressor (which traps heat) one can easily and quickly approach heat thresholds on barrels.  Folks are advised not to go more than 3 mags full auto for a reason:  after that third mag the barrel gets so hot that the lead or bismuth core of common military ammo (55/62 gr) becomes hot enough to melt and become unstable.  This is why even perfectly inline suppressors will get end cap nicks in high volume.

I have a feeling because of the size of the components and relatively close expansion rates, this will not be an issue
