Nice looking mounts.  Any pictures of the adjustment screw side?  How many stops per rotation of the adjustment screw does it have?  The ADM's have 8 IIRC and I always felt it would have been better with about twice that many.  Of course changing the thread pitch would be another way to make it more finely adjustable.

Any legit rtz tests? I saw some on youtube using steel. I'd like paper with computer analysis of group center, at a minimum. 10 shot groups from a precision platform.

Also, what surfaces does this index off of? The top of the rail, or just the angles on the side?

The mounts sit on the top rail and a few edges . This ensures the mount always sits flat with no cant even if the rail is larger or smaller than spec.
Thanks.

Excellent. As of 2012, I believe that is the NATO preferred method.

I spoke with MI.

What did I learn?

They are a very friendly, and open company. They do not "weasel around" regarding what they can tell you and can't, and they don't throw out "It's proprietary" like they are scared I'm building a knock-off in my basement. In short, I would be happy to know they made money from me.

Now for the technical:

The tube mount (scope) has shown in informal testing <1MOA shift. I was told "shooting over and over the shoot n see stickers at 100 yards, boringly." Those are about 1", IIRC. I asked "If I have a 1/2 MOA shooter, ammo, and weapon, and barring environment, would you be confident saying that if I mount and unmount your QD optic mount correctly (index it forward, same slot, etc.) that I would never strike outside of a 1" circle at 100 yards?" I was given an emphatic "Yes".

The cross-bolt is stainless, and the nut is 4140.

The mount indexes mainly on the TOP of the rail. There was a big push from NATO to begin using the top of the rail as the main index point because it is the most "true" surface, and enhanced zero retention/return greatly, over a large sampling of rifles.

The adjustment nut is 12-sided, and I personally think that this is enough even for the most finely calibrated fingers, having myself owned ADM 6-point and 8-point products.

I personally cannot find a problem with the product, mentally, modelling it in my mind. It seems very well thought out, minimalist, and effective. I plan on buying one.

Oh, I did want to mention, the lever design used is tried and true.

I asked them about their price point, and shared politely my connotation of such. They fielded the question like a pro, and told me that they do not sponsor a bunch of shooters, etc. and so can sell cheaper. ADM vs. LaRue business model, basically.

Also of note, the Aimpoint M4 mount will NOT WORK with the M4s model due to the battery compartment UNLESS the lower 1/3CW spacer is used, and then it will work.

It's great to see these have more available adjustment positions than the ADM mounts.

No. These are a different design. I'm pretty sure MI is making these in house, though it does look like they licensed the clamp design. (From Elite Defense, not ADM.)

Troy, do you have an extended version in the works?  I normally need more forward offset because I shoot NTCH and many of my scopes have ~4" eye relief.

Oh okay cool. I've been by MI before and I didn't think they made anything in house. Either way I'm in for one! Got a couple new sticks to outfit after this deployment.

Any low mounts coming for T-1s or PRO's to get the optic as low as possible to the rail for guns like the FN PS90 that already has elevation to the rail for a proper cheek weld?

Hmm, I went to your site... I scrubbed it looking for that rail and of course I found nothing. I thought I was going crazy there for a second.

Wish the lever was on the other side I'd get one for my M4s in a heartbeat. But I will get one for my PRO

I noticed that the barrel nut is now completely covered.  When will those be available MI?  Did you guys have to increase ID?

The lever is on the right to keep the charging handle side clean. The left side is also the side that will rest on your chest or kit when in two point carry . This will ensure no snags on your grear.
Thanks.

I believe their angst was in regards to the M4S battery compartment preventing them from using the mount sans spacer.

The mounts look really good!  How is the return to zero on them when taking them off and mounting them again?

Also, in the picture above is a MLOK rail but I noticed the barrel nut mounting design looks different than the SSM.  Is this something new?

Digging my new TA33 ACOG mount. :)

I finally got around to testing my T2 mount, and it had a RTZ shift of 1 MOA, as best I could measure at 50, 75, and 100 yards. Here is the 50 yard group comparison:

The group on the right was fired at one sitting. The group on the left was fired taking off and replacing the mount for each shot, properly indexing it forward in the same 1913 slot that it was removed from.

Do you mind sharing what ammunition and barrel was used?

I may have to try oe of these on my Primary Arms Micro Dot Gen 2 which rides on a .475 TREMOR.  The PA QD mount failed in about 10 shots and while a UTG fixed base works, I have little faith that it would hold zero if removed since the fit is rather sloppy.  If the MI QD mount fits the PA optic, and it should since it uses a T1 base, and it holds up to the .475's recoil then it will certainly hold up to any 5.56 or .308 or anything in between.
