i think you might have made the unicorn barrel everyone was looking for:

4150 CMV-check
1:7 twist-check
Polygonal rifling for better velocity=check
Hammer forged(im assuming)-check..................correct me if im wrong but it cant be cut due to the smooth rifling of poly right?
Nitrided-check

available in 10.5 or 16............

Are you going to have barrels with these features in 16" length?
And is this flash hider compatible with a gemtech Halo?  It looks like it might be too long.

Nice!

Just had a DD barrel cut down. If only you'd been a few months sooner, I could have saved some cash. It's a pretty sweet combo.

An option on your site has your gunsmith pinning the gas block and muzzle device. How would I handle the barrel nut install ?

Do I mail my rails proprietary nut to you so as to be installed prior to the pinning ?

Send in the barrel nut along with an order number/invoice when you buy the service and products!  Will need the barrel nut in place prior to muzzle device pinning for sure!

The address is on our website, but for posterity, is

Oh dang.  Would definitely buy in either 10.5 or 11.5.  Considering the Micro MOA barrel right now, but it's still a while off while my wallet recovers from the last build.

11.5" would be great!

Looks nice. Thanks for the Melonite feature. I think this should be more standard with barrels.

But I got to thinking.. Shorter barrel = More flash/noise/less FPS = Longer Flash hider needed.

Why not just a 14.5 with a flash hider to get it to 16" hehe.

I'm still looking for a melonite 14.5 1:8 or 1:9 twist barrel :/

Really interested in this barrel.

What can you tell me about the 13.7" with midlength gas system? Seems like a great combination of keeping a compact package with a longer, smoother gas system. How has the cycling been with various ammo? What buffer/spring combos have been used?

ETA: Is barrel dimpled for GB installation?

Any pix available of  your neat/clean pin/weld jobs. I've seen some real gunplumber jobs out there where they actually welded the FH/Comp etc. to the barrel. Nothing worse than paying for a quality job and then having BUBBA lay down a big old blob.

I am thinking this barrel with the older YHM QD mounts would be perfect since they have a 1/2x28 threaded 762 mount that is over 3 inches:

https://www.primaryarms.com/Yankee_Hill_Machine_Flash_Hider_Phantom_7_62_Quick_p/yhm-3302-28a.htm

which should be enough to get to 16+ inches... then run one of these when they come in stock (any ETA on these BTW?):

http://www.weaponoutfitters.com/sss-qd-brake-shield-yhm-mounts-308.html

Assuming the outside diameter of that brake shield is the same as the YHM TI 762  it should fit real nice under a BAR/ Seekins MCSR rail so I dont banana peel the rail when I'm not shooting suppressed.

i'd be in for a 14.5

This is the exact barrel I have been looking for.  In 300 Blackout.

The treated engraving being inline with the gas port leads me to believe that the barrel was nitrided after the barrel extension was torqued on.  Is that the case?

I'm definitely interested in this barrel. Do they have other muzzle attachment options for pinning/welding?

Bought one of your B.E. Meyers flash hiders and put it on a stainless 13.7 carbine barrel 1/7 twist.

You guys need to hound V7 or 2A Armament to make a BE Meyers length titanium muzzle device. And also you should make a pencil profile version of your barrel.

safe to assume that the surefire mb556 is not long enough to make a 16.1" barrel?

Comes close but no cigar.

During testing, I noticed that most muzzle devices are really, really long.  A 13.9" or 14" barrel might do it for people wanting to cut it close.

I'm thinking we'll continue producing these for folks who want top tier accuracy and to use the BE Meyers 249F which remains unbeaten in flash suppression (per SOCOM and 3rd party testing), but might go for 14" in RECCE and LW profiles

Will the LW be a .750 or .625 gasblock? I would like a .625, but you can count me in for one either way

The patent is an interesting read, combination of conventional and polygon rifling applied using the button rifle process. I had looked at polygon for .22's years ago but was impractical to button rifle in its original form. A big "well done" to Feddersen for altering the basic polygon to work. Care to share test results showing the velocity improvement over conventional rifling? If not, that's fine, not doubting just curious.
