Is the mount the same pattern as any other model which would give the ability to mount at absolute co-witness?
Is that 50,000 hours with the unit shutting off after the first 8 hours or is that 50,000 hours of the LED actually being on/lit? |
|
This came out a day before i ordered the MD-06 and hope this one is as good so i can get one too!

You can only use the two included mounts. 50K continuous at a very low setting but even at a higher setting nothing even close in this price range. Obviously no way to actually test but based on current draw and the auto shutoff the average shooter should get close to the shelf life of the battery. |

Pardon my ignorance but what is the difference between this and a aimpoint h1 or t1 other than price. I have been looking at micro red dots and got gifted a t1, but would like to put one on two other weapons in the works and not at the price of the aimpoints

Any pics of the dot and emitter? I have read it is really low and the glass really clear.

I have 11 or Marshall's red dots on my F/A rifles.
For 4 years now and countless rounds they have been solid. These new ones will go on all my rifles as well. |

1 - Does this use some kind of solar power? Or just better battery management?
2 - Why would you make the mount non standard? That is going to keep a lot of people AWAY. Unless you guys are trying to profit off of your own mounts. 3 - Less writing and graphics on the optic are BETTER. |

View Quote 1: Battery only with latest LED technology 2: It is not a PA brand red dot. One of our OEM Factories own brand 3; I am sure they will be watching this thread for feedback |

One more thing: In the past those type of push buttons have HORRID histories on other Chinese made optics. I would much prefer a small dial. Mabe one like the elevation knob right where the buttons are.

Looks good and I am interested in this. I'm very interested in this if it can be mounted on an AK and get some sort of co witness.
I'd also like to see a quick release mount as well. |
|
I like what I see.
Assuming they're well sealed, and not a point of failure, I like the rubberized + and - buttons. They give it cleaner lines. And as dumb as it is, the QR code on the scope to kind of "Trijicon it up" a bit, I have to admit I kind of like that. To be totally honest, the ONLY beef I have with Primary Arms products is the old-timey western saloon sign font your logo comes in. Something slicker and futuristic/tactical and in a cleaner font would be nice. Although I'm going to keep on buying PA stuff even if you stick with the font anyway. |

Looks very promising.
I do agree, it really needs a standard mounting system so aftermarket mounts can be used. Put the battery on the side - for one dismounting it can have issues with re-zero, might be the reason for the non-standard mount, etc. |
|
Has this been tested on a 308 platform? Would like to try a red dot on my Socom 16, but don't want to drop a lot of money without being sure if I'll like it.

|
With a more accessible battery compartment this could have been a serious contender in the red dot wars...just sayin...

|
So can this sight be used at night? It says daytime as well as dusk and dawn.

I really dig the auto awake mode. Good looking optic. I think it will just need to prove itself with a few members here and then it will really take off.

Works like any other red dot at night I think he was asking if it has NV settings.....not wether it remains operational after the sun goes down.

Any chance for a goose neck mount for carry handles? If so, I'll definitely get one. Or, will it work with other goose neck mounts?

I knew there was a reason I had been waiting to purchase a red dot.
Specs look great and the included mount looks good. I would prefer a T1 mounting pattern, but it'll do for now. Lens covers? Included or option? |

I'm an Aimpoint snob, but this has my attention. With an expected 50k hour life, the auto shut off is a waste.

View Quote Will not cowitness on a Ultimak without raising the rear sight. Our fixed base Micro is still the best choice for a Ultimak on AK. Our removable base will cowitness on the TWS rails |

Thanks Marshall! Follow up question... This auto on/off stuff. How do you feel about it? What's your honest opinion on these new sights? Would you trust one of these new sights like the proven Aimpoints? |
