Are the .875 models still going to use a straight gas tube? I need it to be shorter than your old style to fit under my handguard.

I just got some neat gear from SLR Rifleworks today! I was able to finish up khadafy's upper this afternoon. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of this Adj. GB vs the Syrac?

Asked in the DA7 thread but maybe the Sentry is the same -- Is the gas block machined to account for the front HG retainer or is a spacer needed if the retainer is being ditched?
|
|
I just got my Sentry 9 in the mail. Installed it on my Krieger Barreled Armalite AR10, 308. I already tried it out. Thank the Lord I can shoot from my yard.
It is great. It is a strange feeling to shut the gas off 100% and shoot a single shot. I got it adjusted so the bolt catches on the bolt catch, All my brass was in a nice little pile! With the Krieger gas block, the rifle would nearly jump off the bags or bi-pod. And brass would be scattered out. I think it was money well spent! |

View Quote Its the barrels that change shoulder position not the gas blocks. Rear of gas block to center or gas port in block is in the correct position. If you have a barrel that was not intended for FSB use then the ports will be centered. If you have a barrel that had a FSB or was intended to be used with a FSB then the gas block will have to be pulled off the shoulder about .030 or so. |

Click detent, no brass set screw to wear out after several adjustments and have to tighten down from the back of the block, which in most cases would require removing the gas block or handguard. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

You are referring to the gen1,Syrac has a new Gen 2 out, i have one, They both have Click detent and work the same with different parts, SLR has the better system.Syrac was the smallest .750 clamp on that was out,Until the SLR Sentry 7 Series comes out friday. The SLR Sentry has the better system with the way the detent works i think and it's gotta be lighter. Friday Damm thats today. eta-content |
