I apologize. I thought it was about the new 1-6. Folks have been asking for photos of the new 1-6, but it appeared one was not on hand to photograph.

What battery does the scope take for the illuminated dot & horseshoe?

Does only the horseshoe and dot illuminate like the old version? Also you don't need to have the dot and horseshoe illuminated right?
Ps: I need 2, one for me and one for my dad. |

The confusion is because this thread is for the fixed 6X. There is a thread in our industry forum discussing the 1-6X, see link below. The second generation version of that scope is due next month.

Thank you. I was considering a new magpul stock and was trying to decide if battery storage would be useful.

View Quote The horse show and BDC illuminate and no you don't need it to illuminate in order to work. Like all ACSS scopes non require illumination or a battery you can see the big black horse shoe/reticle very easy. The only time I illuminate it is in low light. Dimitri |

Gotta give Marshall a shout out for his outstanding customer service. I had an issue with a 6x I recently purchased. And once things were confirmed. He had a replacement sitting on my doorstep three days later.
As for the replacement I received. It was GTG, and was able to get out on the range yesterday with it. Once the 100 yard zero is established. The optic flat works and works well. For $120, this scope is hard to beat. The glass is Crystal clear, it has several nice features typically only found on the higher end scopes. And the ACSS retcile des not overwhelm when employing. And Primary Arms really does offer some of the best customer service out there. Sure, they may fall down once in a while, it happens. But, they always correct a mistake. |

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m162/Shannon4617/IMG_0015_zpscef957fb.jpg I love mine, had it for 3 or 4 months...It's leaps and bounds over a Burris AR332 which I used to have 2 of... I have shot it out to 400 yards which it's a couple inches low but thats due to me shooting 70gr Barnes TSX's @2775fps...Awesome scope especially for the money...Way less than half the cost of the Burris! |

I ordered the new 1-6 today. I selected the Primary Arms extended mount with it, but now I am rethinking that choice. If I have a flat top railed AR, should I have selected the standard mount and just mounted it farther forward?

What happened!? Seriously, I'm checking the Primary Arms website twice a day (starting every morning at 7:00am), I submitted three different email addresses to be notified of availability on the 1-6x. No emails come in today, and of all days, I was slammed at the office until around 5pm CST. By the time I get my second website check of the day in, they are gone!? Dimitri and/or Marshall, can you just please give us an option to pre-order so I don't have to go through this angst again or I may have no choice but to go spend more on a lesser optic. I need something to put on my rifle and as much as I want this optic and as much as I'm willing to wait patiently for another batch to come out, I'm not so willing to play the 'check website three times a day' game and still miss out. I have no problem giving you my money now if I can just forget about it until it comes in the mail.
EDIT: I calmed down a little bit, and in fairness, Primary Arms did send email to all three accounts I submitted around 9:30am CST. Unfortunately they all got IDed as spam, but that's more my fault than anyone else's. That being said, I still stand by my request for a right to pre-order. |

The more I shoot with the 6x, the more I like it. And it took.getting away from paper, which then increased the fun factor with it. I've only been able to plink with it between 100 -150 yards. It's quick on target, I'm able to transition to other targets quickly and I hit everything that I aim at. I've had no problem incapacitating several hordes of zombie cans while using the scope.
For less then $120, it's a hard scope to beat. The fit and finish of the scope is very nice. The glass is uber clear. It has functionality typically only found on higher end optics. And the ACSS reticel works and is simple enough to use. |

For the 6x scope - what is the size/MOA of the:
1) red dot in the center of the truncated circle/horse-shoe; and 2) the truncated circle/horse-shoe from the 9 to 3 O'clock positions ? Is the reticule a projection or is the glass etched? |

Why was 5 feet 10 inches chosen for the range estimating system? View Quote Dimitri was originally developing the reticle to try and sell it to Trijicon for military applications. That is the standard. Fortunately they said they were not interested and we were able to partner with him and bring the ACSS system to market. Great to hear that there may be a PA 22LR ACSS scope in the works.....
Since is not out yet, an I have a need for a scope now ( & prefer illuminated) for my .22lr AR, Id be very interested in where the holdovers of the current 6x would align to (distance ) when zero'd at 25yds, using a common 38 gr /1280 FPS .22LR bullet like the Remington Golden............... Any insight or way I could determine this would be much appreciated. |

I'm crazy disappointed this isn't made for 7.62x51 or 7.62x39. Hell, I'd buy one if it would work for .357, 30-30, or 45-70. I just don't have anything in .223 and I have no interest in that caliber. I also don't think I'm interested in the 1-6 at that price point but a 2-10 with a .308 or x39 reticle would have my full attention.
I read that it wouldn't be "dead on" but what difference would I be looking at if I put this on one of the above caliber rifles? |
