Samson Manufacturing has added a line of accessories to compliment their successful Evolution tubular forend. New for 2012 is a modular vertical forend grip which mounts directly to the Evolution without an accessory rail. Having the grip mount directly eliminates the gap between the grip and the Evo, making it more comfortable for extended use while maintaining the rock solid mount. The mount will also allow for a "quick change" between the grip and other accessories to come.

In addition to the vertical grip, a lightweight, aliminum handstop is available. The handstop can be mounted in either direction and also mounts directly to the Evo forend without any gap whatsoever. The handstop is made from aluminum, and is quite lightweight.

Also new for this year is a heavy duty HK style sling attachment hook, which also mounts directly to the Evolution system. The hook mounts via the standard Evo stainless backing plate.

A set of fixed front and rear sights rounds out the additions to the Evolution system, although they can be used on any standard picatinny rail. An A2 style, windage adjustable rear sight an HK style, elevation adjustable front sight can be added to the top rail, or to any Evo system accessory rail for offset mounting.

Scott and Andrew from Samson will watch this thread for questions on these new products.

Now I really want a Sampson rail.

I am assuming these will work on the Rainier Rails made by Sampson?

The sights look pretty good.
Yesterday, I was on the train sitting across from a smoking hot Thai chick. I kept saying to myself, please don't get an erection, please don't get an erection, but, she did.

I'm sure they will....that's what I have too.

All that crap looks sweet! I love the sights and the hook! (I have the QD release but the hook will work with my IAS sling system I assume.)

Thanks guys,

We are very excited to offer Evolution specific accessories. It really helps with ergonomics to be able to mount things direct. We will have more options in the future.

Looks great. I think this will be the rail that goes on the wife's anniversary present, her first AR15.

Good stuff, the fixed sights are definitely on my shopping list.

Any chance of a low profile sling stud/bipod mount for harris types?

Yep the handstop and the irons are pure win. Makes me want a 9EX for my LWRCI A3.
I'm gonna go inside, and I'm gonna get a shovel.

Wow, SAMSON is stepping it up! The Evolution Handguard is already one of the best out there. These accessories take it over the top. Can't wait to see that handstop at the SHOT Show.

Rear sight questions:

Aperture sizes?

Can I assume they're not on the same plane?

Are the apertures calibrated for left/right shift when switching between apertures?

Thanks... Got some nice looking kit here.

When will yall start to support the AR-10 and other 308 ARs more? This style of rail would be perfect for 308 ARs. Would be light weight, more of a "round" feeling, and plenty of other benefits. You could design one barrel nut, with different thread pitches and that "should" solve the issue of the multiple 308 platforms. But, im no engineer.

Still, a nice looking fore arm. Definitely in my top 5 of rails to pick when Im finished building my M15.

Awesome, and without having to first attach a rail there is the weight savings. Every ounce counts.
