Just got images of my lower after engraving! Work by member justinbowser!
Well Roger definitely came through. Color is spot on check this upper out. Triangle charging handle is NDS.

Nope that was pre finishing. The finished product was the top photo. It's going on a new NDS 601 lower.

That turned out real nice. Looks a little light in color but easily could be pics. I like what you did on the front pin. Does it pin up to various lowers?

It was someone we both know Kid. Yes the front pin was sleeved. It is the early SP1 upper. Converted to have original rebated front lug. I ended up buying a very early 604 on the EE so my old 604 is becoming a 602!

What kind of barrel are you gonna use? I know a guy out west who has an original 602 upper with VP 12 barrel/cast FSB and carbon steel tube and I'm trying to pry it from his hands.

Can you explain exactly how you fixed the big pin hole. I have ordered the non circular offsets that can go in the hole and was thinking of using JB Weld. I know m60joe pins them since he did one for me a few years back. How did you do it?

I didn't do it, a machinist did. From what I understand he pressed a aluminum insert into it and then counter sunk the insert.

Man, it fits to the lower real nice. Nobody mentioned it yet, but I see you even added the port door spring hole in the upper, that's a nice touch. Your guy did a great job on that.

Well I found the correct firing pin on eBay. $100 later it's here. Looks like it had some heavy use. Thought it just had carbon build up but it has some corrosion on the back end. Cleaned it up best I could with a scraper and some CLP.
