I take the quality of my products very seriously. I take customer service seriously.
But I really have to work at not taking my self too seriously. This is ARFCOM, and we like to have fun.

It's your prerogative to represent your company in any manner you choose. I was only making an observation.

But this wasn't a post made by you as an individual about an opinion.  This was a post made by you as the president of a company about one of it's business relationships.

Yes, we have additional receivers in the pipeline that the crew on this forum should be quite pleased with.  It is still early in the process for some, but we will post once we are close to releasing.

I'm definitely interested.  If you make them grey, I'm more interested.

Hi, thank you for the great work you have been doing making the uppers and lowers for brownells.

Now I've been having a problem with my ARstoner model McCheapskate build and was hoping....

My McARstonercheaperthanshit build runs just fine.  No fucking around, it just runs.

I want everyone to understand, we also get calls and email praising these Brownells products.

This thread to help "raise awareness" about the correct origin of the products.

And make sure Brownells gets the credit when credit is due.

Sorry to have to yell at the internet, but have received a few emails from people that still do not understand that all we do is supply forgings to Brownells.

We have absolutely nothing to do with the production of their parts.

And yet people still misrepresent them.  Below you will find a GunBroker listing for a Brownells machined and sold A1 upper being represented as a NoDak Spud machined and sold A1 upper so they can try and get more for it then Brownells sells them for. They even included the NDS part number in the description lol.  Looking at what they sell probably a member here too!

I haven't bought (or sold) anything on there before, do they have a policy against misrepresenting what a listed item is?

I'm sure somebody would offer to tea-bag a modern tactical AR if you're more into those.

Except the rails.  Never tea-bag rails.

All joking aside, if Brownells can phrase their listings to state:
"Our A1 receivers start with unmachined NDS forged blanks which are sent to Brownells for production, to include machining and coating, resulting in retro receivers completed to the exacting standards set by Brownells."

It tells the world that:
1) It's the same forging that NoDak developed
2) NDS sends the blank to Brownells for production
3) The final machining specs and finish of the products are a result of what Brownells requests, not NoDak

So I had some communication from that gunbroker guy.

He had bought those from a dealer and was genuinely confused as to the origin.

There was no malicious intent, and he has changed his ad copy.

Yeah, now he's calling it a 'Colt' upper in the listing title. In the body of the ad, he mentions Brownells. Still misleading, in my opinion.

Hell they got the ad changed.

Probably still going to get all the complaints due to NDS being made into them.

Did you look at the title? Did you read my post? Because I CLEARLY said that it was 'in the title'...  "Colt AR15 M16A1 Type". "Colt Type AR15 M16A1" is different than "Colt AR15 M16A1 Type". The placement of the word 'Type' actually does matter. Also adding the description of 'New Old Stock' is very misleading, in my opinion. It's a Brownells, how long has Brownells been doing these that they're now considered to be 'New Old Stock'?

I think what is a little more sad is that someone on GunBroker paid $185.00 for it when they could have just ordered one directly from Brownells for $150.00 and received a later production one that should have the correct carry handle slot dimensions.  You know whomever purchased it for $185.00 most likely still thought they were getting a true NoDak Spud machined product and because of the coloring in the listing pictures probably thought it was also XM gray to boot.

The projected release date was just moved forward again due to the need to teabag each and every one by "hand".

Mike could keister one to me on a Greyhound bus with three flat tires for all I care.  I passed up an original for $150 last year, thinking another run of repros was just around the corner.
