Question about the upper on my 603 build.

I bought an complete upper with an barrel marked SAK MP CHROME BORE.. My question is on the receiver where you would find the markings C H, It been ground off an looks to be re-anodize.
Any thought on why..

Pics would help here immensely if you have them. Are you sure it had forge codes to begin with?

Sorry I don't now how to post photos,, But you can see the grind mark where the C H should be..

I bought an assembly similar to that years ago. It has the SAK replacement barrel on an early 603 upper (no forge codes) and was re-anodized in black.
