Absolutely......built on 601/602/604/653/723 lower receivers

I had an issue USAF GAU-5/P, which was the 14.5" pencil 1/12, instead of the 14.5" 1/7 M4 barrel.  It was built on a 601 or 602 lower with the non-captive pivot pin.

Thank you for the link.

I think I'm going to use a Daniel Defense M4 barrel, because hammer forged. I have a 604 upper & chrome BCG.

I was concened I would be making more of a "retro-inspired" or perhaps an IDF carbine, with a pinned flash suppressor.

I'm still confused, as some early A2s had A1 lowers marked A2, but A1 features. Or, I'm just overthinking.

Is there a muzzle device that looks historically accurate to avoid a stamp?

14.7" barrel (either pencil or M4 style) and pin/weld the respective FH to make it 16".

Easy Peasy!

I did a 14.5" and used a spacer/pin/weld and it kinda bugs me. It's on my 652.

It's just a 1/4" but it does bug me so.

Sweet build! Nice!

I think I prefer your build--I was going to make a pistol, but the arm brace

Thank you again

The extended FH on a 14.5" M4 barrel don't look too bad.

Extended A2 FH

The 14.7" barrels are a not as plentiful as the 14.5" ones but you only need to pin and weld a regular FH to bring the 14.7" out to the "arbitrarily legal" 16".

That 1/4" spacer bugs the crap out of me!

I have a 14.7" midlength I'm doing up as a M16A .75 but getting another barrel for the 652 is on my list of things to do.
