My wife and I will be moving to Poland in a few years. She was born and raised in Wroclaw. Maybe you can answer this, how big of a deal will it be for me to bring my guns with me? Also, could you get Poland to drop the damn gender assigned verbs, learning Polish has been a real pain in the ass!

I'm late to the thread, but your firearms are very nice. I was going to ask how difficult it was to get the FULL license, but you hit on it already. How are the prices on these rifles in Poland?
With the FULL license, can you convert or make full auto firearms, or do you have to buy ones that already exist (from dealers I presume)? Rob |

Before the European Union Lefty Commission first Gun Ban (after the attacks in Paris)
The Prices for an m16a1 Rifle Kit were between 400e to 500e, 900e for a new Rifle. There was everything without the Barrel and Bolt. Before the Paris Story in most countries in Europe, only the Barrel and Bolt were Parts with the “Gun License” Permission the rest is free you must be only 18years old. Now a m16a1 Kit cost something like 700e and a new one 1300e. My rifles and carbines were built mostly from m16a1 kits. The making of a Retro Barrel cost something like 550e Walther Lothar. In Europe its almost impossible to buy retro barrels like in the US. The retro aluminum stocks, two position buffer tubes and other rear stuff were imported from the US :) Example. Xm177e2: 400e m16a1 Kit + 550e Barrel +100e Bolt + Aluminium stock, two position buffer tube, small castle nut 150e + small Handguards 40e + Moderator 110e. Total =1350e M16a1 Rifle: 400e for the Kit +550 Barrel +100e Bolt. Total =1050e The Parts are all Full Auto. When you have the "Full Collector License" they stay like that. When not the Weapons get a sear block like shown of the first Site of this Topic. You asked why nobody modifies M16A1 rifles and sends them back to the US... in the US, once a machinegun always a machinegun, and therefore not eligible for importation since 1968 (even with a sear block like you posted). Even though it would be harder to make it a machinegun again vs a typical AR lower, it still counts as one.
I don't know what the law would be on importing the parts kit other than lower receiver. I know it's now hard to find AK parts kits with original barrels, the M16A1 might be different or might not - I just don't know. |

As long as you don't drill the sear pin hole, you haven't broken any laws. I'm in California, we have our own laws and the sear is illegal. There's also the question of importation, that's different from what's already in the country. I don't know what the laws are regarding importing US made machine gun parts, under the Gun Control Act of 1968 machine guns generally can't be imported. I know all the recent AK parts kits haven't been able to include barrels (maybe 8 years ago? I'm making that up) too. 90% (I'm making this number up) of BCGs are M16 profile (even in California). Most uppers are cut for the sear too. |

Good to hear, how much cost a m16a1 Machinegun in the US? Or how much Taxes cost a FA lower?

Until 1986, you could build one with a $200 tax stamp and approval of your local chief of police or sheriff (approval not required for businesses or trusts but I don't think NFA trusts were a thing at the time). Since then, however, no new ones have been allowed. An M16 that's transferable to a normal person is outrageously expensive at this point because of the limited supply - I think on the order of $20,000 but I'm in a state that doesn't allow them (and don't have the money anyway) so I haven't really looked. Prices will only continue to increase unless something changes.
Manufacturers who do the right paperwork can build new ones as "demonstration" guns for police agencies and so on, but they can't be transferred to normal people and you end up paying thousands of dollars a year in taxes/fees/etc if you're that type of manufacturer. |

When they come from Poland tell them please they need to read the polish Gun Law, not only read, read with understanding then they will see that you can own FA Guns. But like I wrote, its hard and you need to battle something like 3 years with the Bureaucratic when you don’t give up you will win.
