Green Mountain 1-12 Twist barrel, cut and threaded , and three prong pinned and welded.

Upper was an Air Force repack. Still visible, is dry lube paint faintly seen in some places.
"Many circles" mag button, early gas tube.

Dimpled selector rotates to all four positions.

Next to it's future "little brother"

VERY nice! I am sooo behind as far as posting pics. Havent photo,d my last 3 builds. One of which is a 607. Why am i always envious of others builds; even though mine are identical? LOL, its kinda like, in the resteraunt looking at everybody elses meals?

Looks great! One of my favorite carbines that gives you the look at the range. Two questions: did you open the gas hole? And what bolt carrier group did you use? Let us know how it shoots.

Nice!  I've never had a desire to build a 605, but you make it tempting.

605 is just a great do it all. Looks good op.

Jeepdan, the 605 does work in the rain. And a picture I found of the NOS Colt USGI barrel I used that was pre cut to 16". I wish my stock and hand guards were more motted like yours. Your lower is the best!

The transitional bolt catch is a nice touch!

Thanks guys for the positive comments.

To answer a few questions asked above,
--Yes, I did open up the barrel gas port. But for the life of me, I can't remember how much I used info found on this website.
--The Bolt Carrier Group is early Colt.
-- The 80% is a NoDak Spud-52. ---Boy it is a tough wait for Harland, and Mike to get them back in stock.
-- I wondered how long it would take for someone to notice, and comment on the transitional bolt catch.
Not shown in the pictures are the Edgewater Buffer, and a transitional buffer tube that has the holes + the wrench flats.

I have been applying Norrels, after prep by lightly abrasive blasting with 120 grit aluminum oxide.
I am really satisfied with the results.
And it's fun experimenting with color mixing, and heat / temp variations.
I have found that the sheen of the finish, and lighting has a dramatic affect on color perception.

Looks great! I just used norrells for the first time yesterday. I just made sure I kept it hot and it turned out great. I just assembled my lower and it looks really great.
