Made this today from some old parts that where given to me. And from some other parts and pieces laying around. One mans trash is another mans treasures. And let me say there was no GOOD parts cut or ruined to make this all was stuff that was going to be tossed. Its all real deal parts no resin / plastic parts. Made from a de-milled Colt barrel, Colt FSB, ruined triangle handguards, repo 3 prong FH, trashed out torn sling, de-milled gas tube, And a Colt marked bayonet.

And a huge thanks to John Thomas at  Retro Arms Works for some of the parts and doing the Parkerizing. As always the parts came out perfectly parkerized.

I found that a lamp cord will fit down the bore. So I might turn it into a lamp sometime.

Sweet!  Some fine retro art.  Thanks for sharing.  Great utilization of roached parts.  Not seeing much wrong with bayonet.

That is the coolest bayonet stand I think I've ever seen! I particularly like the sling idea.
I've seen others that are similar, but they have all been made out of resin castings.

My first thought was a M1 Helmet display!

Using some sort of a round base that the tip of the bayo sticks into so the weight of the helmet is supported.

Lamp. Helmet stand. Makes no difference, That  thing is WAY COOL!

Thanks for sharing with us!

Very nice! I've wanted to do similar for my Lee Enfield bayonet since I got a resin mount for it.

Neat.   I think it would look better if the sling went into a slot on the board and was pinned underneath, out of sight.

That would be perfect in the kitchen.   Tell the wife it is a watermelon holder.
