OK, i have located an undated AR15 manual that lists "Archery Equipment" on the cover, and it is identical in every way to my 11-72 dated manual, except that the 11-72 does NOT list "Archery Equipment" on its cover.  I know the undated manual is earlier, AND I know that the "Comanche" manual is the earliest.  My questions are twofold; First, is the "Comance" marked manual identical to the others, EXCEPT for the cover?  AND, is there another manual that falls BETWEEN the "Comanche" and the "Archery Equipment" manuals? Thanks.

Hm very interesting. I also have an 11-72 dated manual and it doesn't have archery equipment either. I'm guessing that that manual is right after the commanche manual.

I think you are right.  Another member here showed a photo of an "Archery Equipment" manual as coming with his new in the box 1965 SP1, AND the "Comanche" manual ALSO lists archery equipment.  I have not located a 'Comanche" manual yet, but here is a photo of one.  Does anyone have any other dates/versions of the SP1 manuals?

Years ago (around 1989), at a gunshow (Pamona CA in the good old days), I had a chance to buy a Colt Comanche manual from a guy who sold books and manuals in the next building.   At the time I had original 601 furniture on my SP1, and thought it would be cool. Somehow, I never grabbed it.....
