I write a series of books called the AK47 catalog, which is essentially a photo guide to all the different AK variants, and when possible,  their changes over time, etc

Anyways, also interested in retro AR stuff.. I had a little extra time in a few European collections this week and photographed a couple "retro" pieces.

I did photoshop out the last three of the serial numbers to be on the safe side.

Colt 610. This is a commercial / export piece, and is from the UK.. As this on display, I presume the hole is from being bolted to a display at some point.

Colt XM177E2 with US Property markings.. They had other similar USGIs (no 607 though) like "Commando" rollmarked XM177E1s but this was the last piece I had time for.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy them.

Beautiful pics!  Thanks very much.

That's not the first time we've seen the grenade ring installed backwards.

Sergio that looks great. I wish I had the desire to go NFA. I could make a E1 very easily. Love the way that clone looks.

Thanks for the pictures OP. Makes me wonder where have all the old Colt MP marked carbine pencil  barrels went?  It's rather easy with a little patience to find a M VP 12 barrel but try to find a old Colt carbine barrel.
