They frequently show up on Gunbroker, but they sell fast too.

Brownells and AR15sport.com are out of stock as of right now but should be in within the next month or two. We are all waiting on them. I am needing four of them.

I found barrels at Vytamenc Tactical, www.ar15upperreceiverparts.com.  Barrels are available with or without the front sight base installed.

Sounds like someone else should start making them.

Even the PSA 20""CHF kits are selling almost instantly from their email alerts. It has been advised that the best time to check their website is mid-afternoon for updates. Since PSA are in SC, you're looking at the EST time zone for mid afternoon. Good luck on finding a good barrel and a good price. As the election closes in us for time , I fear more for our wallets when it comes  to even buy the basics.

Edited for spelling and my apologies, I missed  the retro only  for  needed sources.  best of luck. A bunch of people who bought the part kits are hunting up decent barrels in a market  that has surged in demand over the kits which suppliers haven't stepped up production.

I got tiered of waiting to I bought one from Sarco.
Now, just to be clear. These are factory overruns possibly seconds.
They are not chrome lined. The only markings are "5.56 NATO".
Not drilled for front sight base. 1-12 twist. In the white.
Now I believe mine is .250" too long. After assembled I slid on the bayonet and
And the guard that slides over the flash hider sits just behind the lock washer.
So I got this to just get me by so I can finish my build. I'll keep looking for a better
Replica. Oh it was $156.95 delivered.

That green mountain barrel is a way better deal.
I just ordered one : )
That Sarco one was the first one I've drilled for a front sight base.
So this next one I'll know what I'm doing.

http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/gm-m14-m16-a1-5-56mm-1-14-twist-20-barrel/

It's even got the original rate of twist.

They've got a standard 1 in 12" twist as well: http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/gm-m15-m16-a1-5-56mm-20-1-12-twist-20-barrel/

But what gets me is that it has M4 feed ramps. Now why on Earth would you want M4 feed ramps on a retro barrel, especially when most A1 uppers won't match? Yes I know it won't affect function but still...

I backordered a 20" Faxon from Brownells, which IMO is an awesome barrel with a good profile.  Showed up in about 3 weeks, which is about as long as most "in stock" orders from PSA take

ETA, sorry I now see this is for retro barrels

Our 20" GUNNER profile is a great option for those going "Retro". Its very similar to the A1 profile.

The Gunner is a nice barrel, but it is way too skinny past the gas black to pass for pencil profile, plus they're out of stock as well
