The square A2/M4 front sight post on my 653 clone is starting to bug me. Looking for a period-correct round post. Is this the correct replacement?





Front Sight Post M16/M16A1







Or do I need one made specifically for a carbine?

The sight post you selected is correct for the build but -- damn -- there are much cheaper options

A1 post, spring and detent from Ray's Surplus on eBay for $10 shipped. I haven't bought from him but I've seen some good references here.
