Does anyone make the "next size up" in a taper pin? I had an older FSB (pre drilled surplus) that I was a little over-zealous inserting taper pins & they're deeper than I like.

I can't be the first one to do this

Thank you

That might be a job for JT at Retro Arms Works

Try a new set of standard taper pins. The slots in the barrel most likely have not been enlarged, so oversized pins will not fit in the barrel slots right without some tedious fitting. I had pins that were setting too deep also, I bought a new set off ebay any they fixed the problem, tapped in tight, even both sides. The barrel and fsb steel is hard and the pins are softer.

You can buy longer taper pins of the same size, probably at the hardware store. The small end remains the same, but the big end gets bigger as the pin gets longer. Drive them in and cut to length.

The only issue is the pins will be soft ( as are many standard pins on the market) I use hardened pins and cut them to length when the need arises.
Soft pins will bite you in the a$$ sometimes when you go to remove them. If you swell the small end removing them can be a problem. That's why I always try to use hard pins.

Thanks guys. Will try the longer pins & buy some of the next size, just in case. And JT has Parkerized stuff before for me. He's amazing!
