I'm looking for one of these to put on a 14.5 barrel to make length, anyone have any recommendations? I did find them at CNC warrior but their reviews have me hesitant to buy from them.

Not sure about an extended length but I have seen people use a couple washers with a regular length.

I have one, but don't remember who made it. IMHO the look like, well crap. I put it on and took it right back off. I then had JT shim out the barrel and pin a GI one on.

That said You can have mine if you want it. Shoot me an email.

Here is a GUU/GAU build I did on a .750 barrel.

I might end up the same way as I'm not too thrilled to put a extended FH on. How was the barrel shimmed out?

BTW sent you a Email live4nov.

Basically a threaded spacer. It leaves very little thread engagement, sometimes you need to take a little of the end of the compensator especially if the comp threads don't run out to the end. then pin and weld the comp.

Here is a John Thomas made spacer on a LW Colt 14.5" barrel, pinned and welded. One of my best shooters.

That might be the next route if I don't like the extended one.

Something tells me I should have found a 16" instead.

Yes tying to decided I could mount a bayonet by either of the two methods.  I had to go with the extended FH

IMHO This is the way to go. Ive tried the extended comps, Jamb nuts welded to the back of the comp. and then extended barrel. Minus a tax stamp the shimmed barrel looks best.

I did that after I tried the extended hider, by welding a jamb nut on a comp then turning and milling to that profile. I wound up liking the barrel extension better but its all personal preference.

Would be a good option for some folks though and better than an extended hider IMO.

Is there a reason this spacer from silencerco can't be used to push the flash hider out 0.25?

Looks good, if it gets it gets it out there then ya that looks like it would work just fine.

I was getting one longer that I could turn down. From Thorsden customs I believe. Thats the one I posted a pic of above.

Now I make my own from barrel ends I've cut off. They match better that way.
