I remember years ago, somebody had photos of President Kennedy shooting an early AR15 off the back of his family yacht

I've googled, and find mention of it, but no photos

http://www.smallarmsreview.com/display.article.cfm?idarticles=254

"....nother piece of information that seems to follow this rifle and its history is that it was fired by President Kennedy from the deck of his grandfather's yacht, the Honey Fitz. Though this writer to date has uncovered no official documentation, this claim has been personally seen in an ad in Shotgun News dated November 15, 1977 and more recently in several Internet sites and blogs. Though very far from irrefutable proof, it is just another bit of lore that follows this legendary rifle..."

I've seen one where he's firing the Thompson, but not an AR.

Years and years ago, I saw that picture of JFK with the 601 in a magazine article.  It was in Popular Mechanics or something odd like that, IIRC.  Or maybe Life or LOOK magazine.

That pic used to be common ground.  Now the Dems do not want you to find it..   Next thing ya know.  You won't be able to find Angie Dickinson's legs.

There used to be a pic of Charlton Heston Marching with MLK, that's disappeared from the internet too. Apparently 'they' want his to be a bad guy legacy being an NRA President and all. That's what happens with an all digital culture.

I can find JFK with pics of him in the Oval Office holding an M16 but I have yet to see him shooting one. I will search for the pic some more. Would be an interesting one to have.

The M1 Garand that Senator Kennedy bought thru the old DCM in 1959 sold for a little under $49,000 at auction in 2007 and again last September for $130,000 plus a 15% buyers premium.

I never heard anything definitive about where it was from 1963 to 2007 or how it came to be up for sale.

Looks to me like his ring finger and "little" finger are splayed where the difference in size of handguard/slip ring meet. I don't think you're seeing an extra finger.

Yes, but the one where he's WITH MLK isn't there is it? There used to be one. Most of the rest of those people are fellow actors or lesser known civil rights people.

That is so cool. What's the back story behind those pictures? She holds that like she actually knows how to shoot, and she probably does.

Hmmm...
I never noticed it before but isn't that a piece of brass behind the ejection port on Maria's rifle?
