I found a website that sold the stock itself for $40-$45, but this was about a year ago and I can't find it anymore.

Found the whole assy at Fulton Armory for $70, but i'm really just wanting the stock.

I've been seeing quite a few Colt fiber lite N 1 CAR stocks in the EE lately. Reasonable prices. Look under AR15 Parts Used-Lower Receiver and start searching.

Maybe call bushmaster and ask for a replacement stock for a carbon 15?

Here is the whole thing for $33. Its commercial spec but they look good.  I have several. http://www.americanspiritarms.com/lower-parts/car-four-position-collapsible-buttstock-assembly/

I ended up using the bushmaster one because it didn't have the ribs. Don't know if they sell them individually I got mine from my brothers Carbon 15 because he wanted an Ace ultralight stock.

I have used the ones from Model 1 Sales, but you have to buy the assembly. They do not sell the stock body separately. I replaced the 4-pos. buffer tube with a 2-pos. repro from Nodak Spud. For just a stock body, I would recommend the one that was linked above from M&A Parts and buy a Nodak Spud 2-pos. buffer tube and a repro locking ring. You can use and buffer and spring you like.

Funny, I went with the M&A Parts stock because it does have the ribs.

Toe-may-toe, toe-mah-toe.
