Looks like an Olympic Arms cast to me. Even if it is you have a good score. Now, if you remove the side mount an find a 14 stamp on the barrel I'll cry

I thought the OPs was Oly because it looked to clean (black color) an the pins looked it. I'm glad the barrel wasn't stamped 14. |

I'm not an expert but judging from pics I've seen here and my two early Colt barrels, VP12's seemed to have a centered VP stamp like the OPs here, and the 1/14 barrels had the VP stamp between the legs at random. My 601 barrel VP stamp is at about 5 o'clock, lightly stamped, with some chatter.
My VP12 barrel stamp looks like the one OP has, 3 o'clock and a good stamp. |
