Nice!

Our gun shows are 99% retail new items.  If anything like that made it onto a table one of the other dealers would buy it or the price would be redonkulous.  Really nice score.

Now, why can't I find stuff like that at my local Gun Shows???

Nice score, OP.

I went on Sunday. The A1 is what I really wanted. Barrel is a late 60's early 70's but has this....

Great find. The ones up here just tend to be more sparse, and tons of new stuff.

Yes. Older gentleman 70ish looked at the A1 then put it down. I picked it up, the seller said he had first dibs. He declined, I couldn't wait to get out my $300.

Congrats.

Someday I'll find a good retro score at a gun show

It is very rare that I see anything decent at any of the gun shows in my area. My 1981 Colt SP1 Carbine is the last decent thing I have seen in months and months at a gun show. Most of the items sold are all new.

In the last 2 years I've found several complete upper halves for around $350.

The screaming deal was the late 90's Colt NIB conversion upper with bolt and acog reflex sight.

@ OP:  Excellent score!  As for Teamafx:  He doesn't even have to try ... are you kidding me ... $25 bucks a pop for those 601/602 carriers

Nice score.  Barrel is mid 70's to 80's production with earlier FH.. Port door on upper has been swapped out for current production.  Hope it shoots good!

Pretty much a waste of good money going to funshows around here but if you don't go you'll never know what you possibly missed.  I understand table expense and time etc. but less a couple of generally new weapons wholesalers most everything is ridiculously high and is the same overpriced stuff that hasn't moved in 15-20 years. Two types of vendors,  those with no intentions of ever selling except for 2-3X true value and are simply there to trade and BS amongst other vendors or those who just sold what you were looking for or actually needed.  I can usually do much better using other resources but the smell of mildew, oils and solvents keep calling me back.

Don't challenge him; we don't need a "Motivated Retro Neckbeard" at our Michigan gun shows. Just kiddin' ya, AFX.

Pretty nices scores. On the other hand I saw a "Colt SP1" for $1200 at a show over the weekend. Colt upper on an Anderson lower.
