Long story, but we are involved in a project right now and might end up with some extra chrome lined 16" pencil barrels. Twist would be 1:9 with an M4 barrel extension and no gas block with a parkerized finish.

If the price is reasonable (Say under $150) would these be of interest to the retro crowd? I might be willing to sell some separately if that is the case.

What diameter at the gas port, 0.625" or 0.750"?

Double star has a 16" pencil with fsb for $189.

I want one (maybe 2 if priced right) if they are chambered and marked 5.56 NATO. I have no interest whatsoever in .223 Wylde chambers.

HOW far under $150?

$35 for the FSB plus that or more to have it pinned unless you can do it yourself.

That quickly runs the "actual" price up!

HKILLER I don't know who has a chrome lined lightweight .625 carbine barrel with the FSB installed for $189 but Brownells has non chrome DS for $199.00 plus shipping.

I'd have to be well under $150 for me to jump. (But I've already got a CHF 16" LW chrome barrel from DD under my desk.)

Well, looks like everyone wants something different from what I can offer and unfortunately that just isn't going to work- the specs are what the specs are- 16" chrome lined 1:9 twist pencil barrels (likely with a 0.625" journal) with an M4 barrel extension and no front sight base

If that doesn't match what you are looking for it isn't what you want- like I said these would basically be overrun from a production run and I was willing to make a few extra if there was interest in those exact specs.

If we have a couple of extras I'll let you guys know.

Well, I am not worried about lack of FSB. I can mount my own. I can live with the twist rate and FSB journal size. I am more interested in price to determine purchasing 1 or 2. Barrel extension is not an issue. Chamber is what it is.
Bottom line is put me in for 1 or 2.

I dunno why more barrels this length aren't avail. Many, if not most that get a 16" LW, have it cut anyways.

As long as they're .625 under the FSB they WILL sell here.

But as the saying goes, "Ya never know what you can get away with until your try!"

Chromed barrel with .625 under the sight for under $150 IS a good deal and I wasn't trying to say otherwise. .

But we are ALL wanting someone to make 14.7" and 12.7" barrels!

I thought if I whined enough you would circumcise them!
