Is there a thread with photos showing the evolution of the Colt factory roll markings of the AR-15 / M-16 magazine floorplates? I have some mags that I am not sure where the floorplates fall in the product approximate timeline and a number that I know have been most likely swapped around over time.

i haven't seen a picture thread w/ the different floorplates but here's the evolution off the top of my head

ARMALITE .223 marked waffle mags
COLT/ARMALITE .223 marked standard mag
COLT .223 marked standard mag (early ones will have a circle or circle 1 stamped on the body, early ones also had silverish floorplates)
COLT 5.56 marked w/ aluminum follower
ADVENTURE LINE/UNIVERSAL/SIMMONDS 5.56 marked w/ aluminum follower
COLT 5.56 marked w/ black plastic follower

Yeah I have read all the printed materials on mag floorplate roll markings, I just wanted to see if anyone had assembled a picture thread like the M-16 variant photo threads. Can we possibly start one?
