Your correct, and the very early rebated port door 604 upper had the M VP 12 barrel. A C MP C barrel is much too late for a transitional model 604, that barrel is correct for a late 604 with round forge receiver, full fence A1 lower, and birdcage FH. A transitional model 604 would most likely have a MP C barrel, or at the latest a C MP B barrel.

ETA - That is a sweet FA 604 though, I could make that work and put the correct early 604 parts on it, one thing the upper has going for it, is that it sports a transitional slickside BCG. The lower is sexy, I'd trade my first born for it. lol
