the other pics make it look more black w/ swirls than the brown chunks you typically see in the brown HGs.

They have drain holes, so shouldn't that make them late 60's?

Those pics are bad, with bad lighting... and even though a couple look brown, the rest look black in orangeish light (which is incandescent bulbs). I certainly wouldn't pay a premium for them.. has anyone asked the seller the color or for better pics? |

drainholes in the heatshields should remove all doubt that it's not a 601 set.
