I called a company and asked to get some 80% receivers with the cool flashings but was told it would" cost 10k because of set up changes"  I am thinking of getting a group together and offer a machinist an opportunity to make some 80% with flashings for the hive.  Who would be interested?  I know it will all depend on price but my guess, and I mean a guess, it will mid 150 per receiver to get a special batch.  Any interested email me.    If we get enough I will see what can be done.

Upper receivers?  A1's?  I'm confused.

Cool.  If you do a partial fence don't drill the hole in the fence. :)

Yes a lower receiver not upper.   I agree no drain hole on front takedown dent and make a partial fence.   How much did brace charge for his made from 0 %.  We would have to start from 0 % to get the "flashings"  The larger companies ie tactical machine.  They remove them when they finish their product.    I like the look that the flash give a retro project.

You know, I left the flash on the front lip of the first batch of A1's and you guys complained about it.

Some will complain because of it.  Some will pay more for it.

how many lowers can you make if you melted those shavings in forgings?

Man I wish this was doable a couple years ago when I did my 80% lowers.......maybe reason to get into another build! I can now legally own an SBR in MI....I think it might be time for a 733.

People complained about flashings?  Wow  I have never seen a real retro receiver with out them.  I believe they left them there to decrease machining operation and crank out more guns faster.  Has anyone ever seen a " real military retro"  without flashings?  Love to see it if you have photos

I haven't gotten my parts from braceman yet, and no word yet on how much it will cost me.
