Pictures of the kit I bought in the EE recently.

The stock looks just like MrM1A1s stock on page one. No clover on the front, but it has a rivet for the sling swivel and has just a little foam residue outside of the hole. The buffer itself doesnt have the dimple like some GM buffers seem to, but it does have some grind marks in the middle. I checked all my other wine tipped buffers and none of them have any grind marks on the face. Overall Im very happy with it. Id like to find some handguards. Debating on spending the money on an 80% lower or just using the dark black brownells lower I have and trying to wear it to bronze.

That thing is so awesome! XM16e1 like upper and barrel.... great condition. Cool features. Doesn’t get much better than that.

I came across these charging handles that have the characteristics that are being attributed to GM.  What is interesting about these is there is an indentation that runs lengthwise on the top of the port door side of the "T" and I'm not sure I've noticed that before.  Regarding the flat spot on the side, one of the three has vertical sanding marks that could have removed the flat spot.

Notice the center charging handle body was dyed gray while its latch was dyed black.  The other two charging handles appear to have been died all black.

Maybe this is the wrong Topic for it, I have 3x Hydramatic lower and one upper, upper handguards, buffer and the rest ist the same like in this topic, but lowers have different parts.

Lower 1.

No markings

Small Dot on the front

Two Dots

Barely visible circle

Lower 2.

Bolt catch and Disconector no markings outside,

Hammer has the Barely visible circle

Lower 3.
Has the same parts like some of mine m16a1 Property.

Pistol Grips are marked inside with C or A and Circle, cant get a good picture.
Many of mine m16a1 have the Hammer with the Barely visible Circle or CE or 2, the same for the Triggers and Pistol Grips. Handguard marked E, C, or 0.

I think the pistol grips and handguards were made the same for Colt or Hydra and H&R, some are very nice made some look like done by hand, have that on m16a1 and on the export 603 to.
Maybe there were some field repairs and the parts are swapped who knows, but one lower looks like new.

Thanks for posting these detail shots, every photograph has the potential to show us something new.  I don't have access to lower receivers and was unaware of the "rebate" tool mark for the bolt catch roll pin.

(unrelated)  I thought information about bolt markings was present here but it is not.  Here is a good thread showing markings on GM FCG parts and the differences between GM and H&R bolts:

I came across what appears to be an original condition GM barreled upper with charging handle.  This appears to be one with black dye that wears off easily.  I only had time to take pictures of the flash hider, does anyone recall seeing these tool marks on the wrench flats?

Found a bister along the right side of the carry handle curve that I didn't see mentioned before.
