THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Started a new thread since the other one was a bit long.
Ok, like I said the second try at this were going to be wielded up and here they are so far.
Have to take it slow on the weilds so as not to warp the mag bodies but it is working.
Installed the follower and spring on one and was able to get 23 rounds in its it sits.
Figuring that if I remove a coil or two everything should work fine and will be able to get a full 25 rounds in it.
Also thinking of filling in the bottom hole on the spine and drilling a new one down lower so it looks better.

Ok everyone here is mag 1that I just got done working on tonight.
It locks into the magwell and the bolt does lock back.

And before anyone asks, yes 25 rounds load fine and you can't get a 26th in it.

Here they are.
All that I need now are the repro followers to get here and they will be done.
Oh and trying to find the proper color green to paint them with.
Here they are sitting next to one of my 20 rounders.

Calling me sir is like putting an elevator in a outhouse, it just don't belong.

They look very good so far.Why do you keep spelling it as "weilds".It's welds.Sorry had to do it.Grew up with a mom who was a teacher.

verb (used without object)
3. to undergo welding; be capable of being welded: a metal that welds easily.

wield   /wild/ Show Spelled[weeld] Show IPA
verb (used with object)
1. to exercise (power, authority, influence, etc.), as in ruling or dominating.
2. to use (a weapon, instrument, etc.) effectively; handle or employ actively.
3. Archaic . to guide or direct.
4. Archaic . to govern; manage.

Dude.
Seriously.
We've all seen photos of Blondie. If you're resorting to spelling games to have fun with her... consult a physician!

I think any old AR15 accessory marked with the "Armalite" brand is cool...or AR10 stuff marked "AI"!

I predict a swarm of PM's headed your way. Fantastic job. A little clean up work and some John Deere green and you'll be ready to go.

What kind of welder did you use on that anyway?

I may have to give this a try some time in the future.

Rriggs, notice the correct spelling here? I think you're doing a fine job. She's still around smiling and the mags look good also. Let us know how they perform (the mags that is).

Nice, will be a functional mag

I’d cut the mags above the mag well so the seam wont show when its in the rifle.
Then you dont have to worry about cleaning up the joint 100%

I found a 25 rounder years ago in a bin of loose mags at a gunshow. THought someone had put a Colt plate on an aftermarket. The guy wanted $25 - of course I didn't buy it... If I had only known then what I know now...
