THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT Hot as hell today! Temp hit 98 with a slight wind, and I mean slight.
As sated today was more of a function testing/trigger time for Blondie. Still working on her sight picture/breathing while shooting, but she is doing a hell of a lot better than she used to! So anyway here is the lineup for today's shoot. 601 w/3x, Armi Jager, 653, 602 w3x, Blondie's' 605 and a Colt Commando upper on a pistol lower until my SBR paperwork is done.
And here are the videos. Took these to help show Blondie what she was/wasn't doing right. Blondie shooting her 605. I honestly think this gun is going to go every trip from here on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Hvrupy5qRw Blondie shooting the 601 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAsjKOR0F9A Blondie shooting the 653 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6raM0fvz18 And Blondie shooting what will be a 607 someday! The no stock thing was giving her a hard time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COuj1Gl4gko |

What was the name of the sight on the 653? I recall a place in the UK was selling them sorta cheap, but shipping would have been bad.

Here is the link to the Ebay listing. They have on e left and $6 isn't bad for shipping from across the pond IMOP. http://www.ebay.com/itm/COMPACT-FULLY-AJUSTABLE-REFLEX-SIGHT-AR15-M16-/271004660951?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item3f1922f4d7 |

Except for the heat sounds like a great outing. Since you didn't post any malfunctions it appears everything tested fine. Gets any drier here and I'm gonna have to collect the guestimated crop insurance and probably will have to anyway. Kinda blows as profits go to my retro hobby and there won't be any. Will probably be able to start long range shooting a little earlier this year.
You said she didn't like the cold so weather was probably perfect for her. Appears ya'll were protected from the sun and she looks good with her 605. Might have to do one in a .22 for the wife. Would possibly make a pretty cheap easy build. |

And should have said that no there wasn't any malfunctions. Woo Hoo! And she didn't mind the heat at all. |

Riggs you are one lucky guy, not only do you live in a state that lets you have all the goodies, but your better half shares your passion for all things going BOOM!
Off topic what is the story behind the pistol & the awaited stamp? |

Off topic what is the story behind the pistol & the awaited stamp? I want to build a 607 clone and picked up a Colt commando paper to build it with. Since the barrel is only 10.5" i need to get an SBR stamp to build it correctly. And since it takes several months to get the required stamp I built it as a pistol so that: A. I can shoot it and have a bit of fun with it.
B. it keeps the powers that be from saying i have something that isnt legal in the mean time also. ![]() |

Very cool.
You have some really cool rifles there, also thanks for the link to the sights. Those were cheaper then I previously saw. |
