SP1 Value Inquiry
Looking to make an offer on this SP1, CM forge code, barrel marked CHROME BORE. Haven't opened it up yet to see internals. Serial would indicate 1982. If all is original would $1500 be too much.

$1,500 is a very good price, looks like a very clean, low mileage rifle.

Colt CAR15 aluminum coasted stock. Mold 2

This is the obviously the coated aluminum version, has the Newton/Newhaven stamp along with “2”. Very nice condition

Can anyone tell me more about this C7 upper and if it's Diemaco? I know it's Kaiser Colt but there doesn't seem to be much info on them. I've heard that the "DK" marked ones are actually Bushmaster/DPMS carry handle forge markings and people would get them confused. Also, what kind of barrel markings would be on one attached to this upper originally?

Appraisal request please.   May be useful to others:  Colt told me the build date is 19840828

Thank you.

Hoping to get some insight on this SP1, which I believe was made in 1980 - includes Colt Carry Handle Scope.

One of the patrolman I work with just lost his Dad. He has a really nice SP1 to offload, and has been bugging me to buy it. I love the older Colts, but the odd front take-down pin and I'm assuming 1/12 twist barrel are a turn off.

Anyone care to put a value on it??

$2,300-$2,500

Flash hider is incorrect but that’s a minor fix.

Thanks for the input. Which FJ does it require to be "correct"?

He offered it to me for $1800. I'm torn.

The A1 birdcage was introduced in 1967. Lots of people replaced them on SP1 's because owners thought it was more of an iconic Vietnam war look.

This has been sitting in our armory forever. It hasn't been fired much at all.
We won't put it into service, or I should say, I forbid some knuckle dragger putting their hands on it.
There was a suggestion of trade or consignment.
I'm pretty sure it's more valuable to sell, but either way, I'm not sure of what we should be looking at.
Pretty sure, it's pre 94.

Would appreciate any input.

Thanks
Jay

It looks like an original SP1 Carbine. Checking the serial number with the SP1 database  pinned to the top of this forum, it looks like it's from late production, 1983-85. Recent sales of SP1 Carbines on GB go from $1740 - $2250.

What is an A.R.M.S. #59 S.I.R. System worth? I've been told that this is the type of rail that Travis Haley used on his Blackwater sniper setup. It is rifle length.

What's the value on a green 601 type B stock.

Green paint is excellent probably 98% coverage.

Thanks

Any idea how much a salty Colt Harvey A1 upper is worth? I recently purchased a complete URG with this upper built out with repro parts and am wondering if it would be worth replacing this upper with a repro upper, or just keeping it and shooting the URG as is?

This is all metal, no coating. I’m not sure if this buffer tube came with it or not, probably so but it’s been a few years since I got it, probably a decade ago or more and it may be something that I took off of another AR15. I didn’t see any markings on it, but if you have any idea where to look let me know. I think that I’m going to sell it, but for now I just want some idea of what it’s worth, even a rough guess would be nice.

It is not original Colt, so $100-150

Thanks. I’ve never had a pure Colt, pieces of Colt on other builds but not an actual Colt, at least not in the AR15 world.
