Two sets of Colt 6 hole skinny hand guards. I believe they’re circa 2000?

Wanting to offload them but don’t know what a fair value would be for both seller and buyer.

I've been considering moving some of my collection to buy a third vehicle (don't worry, it's collectible too).

Thoughts on value for a Puerto Rican 601 kit built on Nodak 601 lower?  OG green stock and grip, all original stuff save later no-drain hole hg's painted by John Thomas?

Also have a second rifle.... Nodak 601 lower with original brown 601 furniture (stock, grip and handguard).  The upper is a VP marked 1:12 early 603 (cast FSB).  Repro Edgewater buffer by JT as well.   Only the furniture is original 601 on this one.

Starting to move away from a few retro's I've built over the years. This is not a fire sale, I'm patient. First item will be my Colt Clone Model 605 sold as a parts kit. John Thomas pinned/welded 3 prong FH using my NOS Colt 1/12 Chrome lined barrel w/front sight base having Bell & C that was previously cut I assume for a Dissapator rifle (I have pictures of it new). Upper is a NoDak Slick side upper with USGI sights & dust cover. USGI charging handle. Bolt Carrier Group is a slick side Fulton-Armory. Bolt Carrier is chrome, bolt is blued marked HPT/MPI. Under 300rds for sure since building it in 2015/16.

Type D stock, A1 Hand guards with drain holes, A1 grip. All USGI. Lower parts kit is all USGI Colt Full-Auto that I "neutured" ie Hammer, Selector. All lower pins, safety  have been dimpled (not shown in earlier built picture) also by John Thomas to resemble early M16 series. USGI Standard Buffer, Spring & Extension Tube. And a Nylon "seat belt" sling. All you need is a stripped lower and you're good to go.

Any questions IM or email me for a more accurate description. Not sure to part out by piece or as a parts kit? The lower receiver is NOT part of this sale. Just for a complete look at rifle. Thanks for the help.

If it was mine, I'd part it out rather than try selling as is because you limit sales to people looking for a 605 clone kit. Sell the furniture, buffer/tube/spring, and your lower parts kit as sets. You'll get more money, more views, and faster sales by parting it out.

Im looking to trade some retro mags soon (maybe)

Anyone seen an early SP1 magazine sell lately? Still has the two white stickers intact, blocked to 5 rounds, bright shiny baseplate.

Ive been looking for past sales but its hard when you cant search the EE archives.

Also an upside down MP, C behind muzzle barrel. Fair condition but someone put the FSB in a vise and left teeth markings on it. I understand they were used by both manufacturers.

Thanks for the reply. I thought Sendra had a round gas tube hole.

The tit on the forward assist made me think commercial but then I remembered reading that’s not an indication. Some of this information floating around is clear as mud. My memory is not great so either so theres that too.

Some were round, some were X. I’ve never seen any evidence that this type of forging was used on USGI rifles. The wide open sight arrow and the tit on the FA are the main forging indicators. Machining is generally pretty wonky in places too, like the front and rear of carry handle.

Not sure if this is the right place for it considering it's ammo, but it is retro 5.56. And I don't really stray out of retro into the other forums (besides GD).

I've got 1600 boxed rounds and maybe 300 loose. It's all mid to late 70's Lake City. Not on stripper clips sadly. Some boxes have been chewed on a bit. Not many.

Any idea what it might be worth? I'm assuming not much, but I'm not going to use it and not sure what to list it for.

Thanks.

I bought some a few weeks back for $3 a box. Hadn’t really ever paid attention to the price either but it seemed reasonable. After talking to him I believe he’d have gone lower had I asked. He made it sound like he had a truckload.

I just picked one up with 1000 documented rounds fired. The only real blemishes are from the previous owner mounting a scope to the carry handle.  The original buyer purchased it and fired 500 rounds. He later sold the gun to a friend in 1984. This is the person that I bought it from. He documented every round fired.

Another I recently found.

Colt A2 Gov't Non-LE marked. Someone mentioned it's a preban? How do you tell?
No dates on barrel under handguard, only what appears to be an 'O'.
What does 'CM' mean on the carry handle vrs the post above has a C Omega symbol.
No marking on FSP.
Came with a sling and original 20 round mag however the mag somehow got twisted and won't fit.

A few of those have passed through GB lately and there didn’t seem to be much interest in them. Ammo is hard to find and expensive when you do. Good for display/dummy builds though.

Agreed. Although an extremely neat piece of history and very rare, not a lot of people know about them which means no market.

I lucked into mine years ago for $150 with a FSB but would say a stripped one in todays market maybe $300-$500 tops.

That's definitely a Colt A2 upper receiver, it's marked C MB for Colt Mueller Brass.... I've seen pristine examples sell for $350 and possibly more, however this isn't pristine. I'd be happy scoring that upper for $200 or less but wouldn't be surprised to see a seller ask $275 - $300 for it, in the EE it would be a quick sale at $250 obo.
