I don't think one can put a price on that 601 reweld.  Penny start on GB would bring STRONG returns.  We've seen another braceman reweld sell for nearly $2k and it wasn't a 601 (although it was finished not an 80)

Agreed, but i don't like GB fees if i can avoid em lol. Buyer might pay a little less here and the seller comes out further ahead.

Value on a Colt marked carry handle mount with an Aimpoint 30mm ring? I know this setup is used on BHD/Blood Diamond clones and isn't easy to find.

$80 on the mount itself.  The 30mm piece is probably $50

Wanting to sell a couple of C7 uppers. Noticed the grey C7 upper on gunbroker at ridiculous money. How much less for a black C7 upper?

Move to the appraisal thread if that is appropriate.

Will give a heads up here when they go on the EE.

Does anyone know what this grip goes for? It's a fat version of those old a1 bakelite grip. I bought it years ago but never could figure out who the manufacturer is. There's no markings inside.

I hope I got this in the correct area for an idea on value, I have a couple 16" 1-12 barrels, one marked CMPB and one marked CMP Chrome bore, and was wondering the value? I am guessing they were from either an SP1 or an M16 but I know you don't see them often. This is my third attempt to try and get them into the correcy appraisal area, I hope its correct. One barrel has a C marked front sight base.

Those are more modern barrels evidenced by the drain holes, coated sling loops wtih rivets and round handguard retainers.  $200-350, just depending on who's bidding on GB.  Lower end of that range here on the EE...they're not retro and likely from A2 or A3 uppers.

[#12]
What do you consider more modern marrels? 1970's?  vs 1960's? I know they are 1-12 twist, but I'm not sure what more modern barrels means.
Link Posted: 4/6/2023 11:09:13 AM EDT
[#13]
Also, I thought A2 or A3 were 5.56 chambered, I know that CMPB markings werent done on barrels that were put on A2 and A3 barrels, and the 16" barrels I have taken off of A2 and A3 units were always marked 1/7 or 1/9. What time frame are you thinking they are?

They are both SP1 carbine barrels. The C MP B barrel is late ‘70’s, the Chrome Bore barrel is 1980’s vintage.

Yes there are modern carbon steel tubes.

Typically $60-$80 for stainless early bend, or $100+ for NOS.

The early carbon steel tubes are very scarce and can fetch $200+.

I have a set of retro M16A1 Furniture that I am looking for a value on. Consists of:

Buttstock (shell only, no buttplate or metal hardware), A few scratches and a very minor crack near where the upper stock screw would go.

Handguards (drain hole type). Has 2 minor chipped teeth on the bottom of one side, but overall very good shape.

Pistol Grip (lightly mottled). Has a “C” stamped inside.

I have this for auction elsewhere and am getting unsolicited offers to end the auction early. Not comfortable doing so until I have a good current ballpark value (have not be active in the retro scene for quite some time), can anyone help?

On gunbroker who knows. It could end up going for $1800 or possibly more. That said I would personally say the value somewhere around $1200 -1400.

Thank you...hoping for the high range of that. I remember being offered $1200 for it years and years ago. Will see. Have a few other retro items maybe see how this one does first.

I’d say at least $3000. The barrel is $1500-$2000 and the upper maybe $1500+

Don't curently have pictures, but what would you say colt sp1 uppers are worth. Recently had 2 fall into my lap.

Both are C M marked. One has proof marks in front of the ejection port, the other does not.

Are sp2 receivers on par value wise. Thinking about trading one of them for one to have an a2 style large pivot in the collection.

I’m curious about this Eagle Arms. I believe it’s a pre ban, but don’t know if it was a lower or a complete rifle. Coal valley IL marked lower. It’s local to me. What are these guys goin for nowadays? My only concern is the front sight block, which looks more milled than cast. Was that common on these? Three position buffer tube, spanner wrench castle nut, heavy 16” barrel. No markings on the barrel.

The rifle should be a preban. Anything under 30k serial that doesn’t have the EA prefix to my understanding is preban. Someone else may know more but I believe it is. I think the upper is not original but an Olympic arms. The pistol grip is a LSO A2, the stock was used by Bushmaster and DPMS but I don’t know if Eagle also used them or if it was added. The hand guards are possibly LSO but I can’t tell. I would say it was added/swapped but once again I don’t know with certainty. I’d say it’s at max a $1500 rifle maybe worth a little more parted out.

Any Colt coated aluminum stock has been selling for $200-300.  If you can prove it came off of a C8, you might get more for it from a C8 cloner.  Curious as to which buffer tube/receiver extension it has. 2 or 4 position?

Thanks for the info. It was purchased from a store in Canada that sells a lot of Diemaco parts and rifles. As for the buffer tube, it didn’t come with one I just slapped it in my Colt lower.
