Interested in the value of this J-15 based rifle. I believe the lower has some greater value to people in the NE where bans prevent later firearms from being sold.

I'm sorry I don't have any better pictures of the upper or the other side, I'm assuming it of the same vintage as the lower.

Really need more details re: the upper, barrel, and bolt group. Are these Colt or something else. If Colt, the upper alone could fetch $1100-$1300.

I would personally sell the upper and lower separately if the upper is all Colt.

The lower alone may fetch $700-1000 to a MA resident.

If the upper is not Colt, the complete rifle would probably fetch $1200-1500 to a MA resident.

These are all best guesses if sold as a penny start no reserve auction on Gunbroker.

Edit to add, here is a similar complete rifle to follow:

Is that a mark on the flat on the second picture? Are you able to take a more clear picture? Looks like US ordnance’s mark or similiar

@aeyoung yes it is an ordnance proof, the same one I see in this picture, but I don’t know for sure that this picture is legit.  Anyone with knowledge, please chime in

I know this picture is a repro one and digging I’ve seen others that people have been asking if they were legit also having that mark so my 2 cents is it’s a repro like the other. These were never tested or sold to the military just maybe 10-20 made at colt and the ones I’ve seen with really good pictures don’t have any marks nor did mine and I know that they were original.

This is my first post so please excuse me if I got the location wrong.   I had originally placed it in optics and was told to move to appraisals.   Hope I found the right location this time.

I’m looking for a value on a Leupold Mk4 2.5x-8x MRT on Larue OSR 2004 mounts.   This scope has been on tour in the sandbox and is 100% reliable and tough, but I think I could get a new gun and scope for the price of this one.  Please let me know your thoughts on value.   I’m thinking this might be best used by someone who wants an authentic scope for their clone.

I tried to upload photos and it didn’t work.  Do photos work from a phone or do you need to use a computer to post photos?   I’ll post photos as soon as I figure out how.   I can email them in the meantime if you want to see them.  Any advise or help on this topic also would be very much appreciated.   Sorry for being a newbie to the forum.

Thank you everyone for your help.  I really appreciate it.   This looks like an amazing forum!  I’m happy to be a part of it now.

-Texas Fish

Any idea on value of a "MP 12" (1966-1967 I believe) marked M16 barrel assembly in good condition? Just the barrel assembly, not the upper as well. External barrel has some rust discoloration that was under the handguards (pictured).

Those LSO A1 grips very rarely come up for sale, compared to the LSO A2s.

I dont know the value, but FYI, thats a "reproduction" that Eickhorn made not too many years back.  They can still be found for sale new here and there.

The retro EICKHORN COLT M7 BAYONET had a stamp in the blade that said Made in W Germany and was made in the 70's under license for Colt.

The retro 70's blade is stamped like this;

I asked about this before and got a response (without pics - posting pics this time), but that was a few years ago and it looks like retro stuff has bumped up in price again (I was surprised to see what A1 uppers are going for in a GD thread where a guy was looking for a "Vietnam" upper).

601 upper (some real/some repro).  Upper receiver and handguards are real.  Rear sight might be real, but not sure (it was on the upper receiver when I bought it).  The bolt carrier is an old Colt slickside, probably from a later model (bolt is new manufacture).  Slip ring is an old Colt, but probably from a later model.  Barrel is a Green Mountain 1-12. Front sight block modified by JT. Repro early bend gas tube by JT.  All other parts are repro (flash hider, port door, charging handle).

Need to see the inside surface of the HGs in order to know the degree of cracking.

Maybe 6 months ago I snagged a NOS on GB complete with gear shields.

Your HGs are probably worth $150 to $350 depending on condition.

I agree, though I’d lean toward the higher end, $500, maybe a bit more.

Funny all those modern slick side and C7 uppers are bringing nearly the same money as early and scarce originals.

That's easily a $3000.00 package in CT where the lower alone is worth $1200.00 - $1500.00, in most other states it's going to be worth a good bit less.

Colt CMPC marked barrel.
Only markings I can find are the c mp c.
I can’t really take a good pic of the rifling, but it still shot 1.5” groups at 50 yards.

Not one you see every day. This is one of four (approximately) 601 rewelds that I am aware of. Rewelded by Braceman. Don’t have a picture of its fitment to an upper, but it was great when i did it in November. Serial is over 10k, so among the last few thousand 601s made. There is a rifle in a certain book that is only 7 serials away from this reweld.

Whats it worth?
