I was thinking the same thing. very, very curios on this barrel too. I believe the 1/12s to be rarer than the 14s.

As a 1/12 I can say I paid $900 shipped for a NOS, out of wrap VP 12 marked with cast FSB. I seem to remember about a year and a half ago a well used one with a 12 went on Ebay for $8ish.  Heck the sight base alone is worth $2-250.

IMHO, If it gauges well on erosion etc:

On the EE I'd say $700-800 is fair and would sell quick
Start with a reserve of $700 on GB and I bet you'd get over $900 with tax returns rolling in.

I know there have been none to compare too,, but what say the hive. Value of the recent original 601 light weight cleaning rod I posted not long ago. Sections and patch tip are original, found a correct thread count brass brush. Thinking about selling it.. Unable to post pics right now.

seeing as there's very little sold comps, it's whatever the buyer is willing to pay.  i know that doesn't help much so i'll start the process at $87

How much is a colt m16 LPK worth..
Not a bubba joe bob made in china probably has pewter in the pot metal semi auto kit.
But an actual made in the past Colt factory M16 lower parts kit.

this worth entey thing with m4 cuts

20" 1:12 "Colt" Pencil barrel roll marked "C" near the muzzle and "MP" near the .625 gas block. The barrel has taper pin cuts from origanal sight and has also been dimpled for the current Faxon gas block. The feed ramps have had M4 cuts done and polished

M4 cuts wont hurt functionality, but the dimples to hold the gas block in place will be a visual scar if you try to restore it back to original looking.

Not sure if I want to go through the trouble or not, but what's a stainless early bend gas tube and a good (no broken teeth, but not perfect) set of no drain hole HGs go for these days?

Thanks, I may see if I can find a set of semi-glossy hand guards, but I don't know if I can bring myself to spend that on a gas tube.

I'm using a repro stripped barrel anyway.

I'll have to ask him about it, Thanks.

M1sniper if its the first AR15 black alloy 8/32 cleaning rod with tip I agree there aren't any comps to speak of at least from sellers/buyers who knew what they were buying/selling. Most of the earlier (62-66) cleaning rods, M11/M11E1/M11E2 and four section 8/32 steel rods, I'v seen typically sold for about $30. What complicates things is that some were sold in a package with a bipod/bipod pouch. Depending on condition of the alloy cleaning rod if I had to ballpark it I'd say $75-$100. Glad to hear you finally found the correct 8/32 bore brush.

I'm looking for a fair appraisal of my Aimpoint 2000

Takes A123 battery, has a removable adjustable polarizing filter. Overall good condition but here are my nit-picks:

I thought the Objective Ocular lens had a scuff but upon closer inspection, it has some sort of residue on the inside. Not noticeable during normal use.

Has wear on front of light sensor body, in front of adjustment knob, brightness adjustment knob has a band of finish worn, 1 rib and 2 peaks on battery cap have bright spots (top right as shown),

I have some retro Items I accumulated a few years back.  Got the urge to clean up my home office and came across this stuff that I haven't touched in several years, and was thinking of letting them go to people that will appreciate them more than me, since I seem to have lost my verve for the retro stuff.  I cant even remember what I paid for this stuff, and most likely I bought them here on the EE and from the retro members.  Anyway, can you give me some ball park figures on value. I don't think I have any reproduction pieces, except the lowers, so let me know if something doesn't appear to be original.  There are lots more photos in this photo album that may help with identification of items.

Early USA 3x scope with thin crosshairs

a 605 "kit" with an NDS lower that has serial no. 605 but no barrel.

a 602 on an NDS lower

barrel is marked "12" near the muzzle

triangle charging handle for 602

Colt chrome BCG with "big head" firing pin in the 602

Type C ? stock and early buffer tube for 602 that had flats added to the end

Some early port doors

How about this one. Stuff on the butt cap I think will clean off and stuff on the sling swivel is really old paint.

There was some on the stock itself as well but came off with a thumb nail.

Sorry, it is 601 green so pardon my crappy photos. Attachment Attached File

So this came from a collector who had it in a box marked Colt Armalite 601 parts. That may have NOTHING to do with this part.

Aside from the green and brown furniture the side sling adapter stuck out because it is thick walled not thin like the current ones.

It is marked 8448379 and 8448376 respectively, like the new current ones with the thin walls.

I am confused as I have been around numerous variants in my past .mil career.

Thanks on the value and history.

You really have to take pictures of all that individually. Your furniture could be worth a  few dollars... it could be worth much more.. You have to point out everything.
Show all flaws. KNow what to look for.

hadgaurds. perfect.. 40$  Some are worth more. NOS lefts get crazy. Makes a fun auction.
Used with a crack , wether microscopic hairline or knarly.. good luck getting 20 to 30$ for those.

Keep in mind this stuff is going to be reproduced by someone big.. So its suppose to make your parts worth less money now and folks are excited and talking about this. If you want to get anything out of this old stuff......... Id sell it quick.

D stocks.. There is finish. New ones were matte. Svels no rust and no cracks in pad"seam" . No flakes or dryrot in rubber. This Is about perfect.
45$ is about the most id ask.. 60$ if you knew It was NOS or better.   People have sold them and quoted me much more. In the 100$ range and this was in this forum.

grips. NOS... could fetch up to 65 to 95$. Ive sold them for 35$ in the pasty NOS.. But I could have asked more. I was happy at 35$.
used.. 5 to  good 15$

Hi Everyone, I have a colt 603 upper that I'd like the value of.  I have had a couple people say that they wanted it, but I would really like to do a retro clone someday of a Colt 653.  Also, I am very uneducated on the retro rifles/ parts, so please point out anything interesting or relevant I you may think I want to know.  I actually really love the patina.  I lighted the photos a very little bit to see the details better, but its pretty close.  Barrel nut threads are in great shape as you can see.  I'd love to have nodak finish a lower and have it given patina to match

You have a colt 602 upper.  I have no idea of the value, but IMO it would be a shame if it were used on a truck gun.  Those went with old slab side lowers.  If you decide to use it on a truck gun, I'd like the dust cover for my 603 upper, as it the later ones are not clone correct.

Before Olympic Arms declared bankrupcy last month, they sold these WITH bayonet lugs for $20-25, if I remember correctly.  The last two that I have picked up at gun shows without bayonet lugs cost me $15 each.

Hey guys.

Grabbed a nice 1967 Mfg SP1 the other day.   All original and complete (minus the sling).  It has an early crosshair type USA made Colt scope.  Buttstock without compartment.

Just wondering what something like this would go for - I'm not interested in selling.

I paid $1000 out the door.
